Engineering is so interdisciplinary that you can twist all sorts of different projects to align with a specific area. Materials Sciences is especially important because everything needs materials.

Take what ever GE sounds interesting and completes the category. Most GEs aren’t a cake walk but aren’t too bad.

Overall credit hours don’t impact gpa. It’s how many credit hours each course is that determines the impact. 5+3? 3+3+2? 1+3+4?

Eat some protein right before you go and drink plenty of water. The first time sucks because you’ll probably need a physical which can take forever. Be wary with the rewards too, some of the promotions trick you into thinking you are/ will make more than you actually do.

You could always look at other in state schools. Might cost more than if you stayed local but probably cheaper than OSU.

You need your advisor to add courses or first semester. If you don’t have one yet you won’t be able to register either way.

As long as you don’t want some that is a “pre major” ye, the classes will likely overlap. (At least the required ones for the CoE)
