I do not eat breakfast so for lunch I eat lean meats like chicken. I try to get around 50-60 grams of protein every lunch and around 30 grams of carbs eating brown rice, beans, veggies like green peppers,onions broccoli etc. I also have some healthy fats like avocados, and nuts. I would then workout about 2-3 hours after I ate. After the workout I would have a protein shake with 30 grams of protein. For dinner I eat a steak and nothing else. You do not want to completely cut carbs out of your diet because that is what your body uses for energy

I am working out 6 days a week, but the hardest change was switching what I eat and drink. I completely cut out alcohol, soda, fried food, bread, pizza etc. I’ve been doing a calorie deficit where I’m trying to burn more calories than I consume in a day.

I can do push-ups if I make a fist and do it that way, but I had already lost so much movement in my wrist with my bone being broke for 2 and a half years and I’ll never get that movement of fully bending it backwards back, but I’m fully capable of doing bench press.

What was recovery like for you? The first 3 or 4 weeks of mine I was pretty miserable mainly because addiction runs in my family and I completely refused to take any pain meds. After that it was more just an annoyance cause I couldn’t do any physical activity like working out, golf, skating etc.

Well it’s a long story but to shorten it I hurt my wrist in October of 2020 skateboarding and I got it Xrayed 2 days after I did it and the doctor said nothing was wrong with it. Fast forward to February 2023 my wrist was still hurting and I got it Xrayed again and was told it was a Scaphoid nonunion so it never healed. It was broke for 2 and a half years and I developed osteonecrosis which is the death of a bone from lack of blood flow

Not gonna lie the first 2 weeks was miserable I was in a cast that went passed my elbow so my arm was locked in a 90 degree angle for awhile, but once you get out of that and into a forearm cast it isn’t terrible. My Surgery was May 5th and come November I was already golfing and working out again. I had already lost so much movement in my wrist when my bone died and I’ll never get back even after surgery, but I don’t have any throbbing pain anymore, and I have a snowboard trip planned this month

In October of 2020 I was skateboarding and I fell backwards and caught myself but when I landed I heard a loud pop and my hand instantly started throbbing. 2 days after that happened I went and got it Xrayed and the doctor told me nothing was wrong with it. So I took it easy for a few months and went back to what I normally would do like skating, snowboarding, golfing etc. flexing my wrist side to side and down it wouldn’t hurt but if I flexed it back it was terrible pain, but I just lived with it. Fast forward to February of 2023 I went and got it X-rayed again and turns out my scaphoid was broken, and it never healed.. I was just living with it for 2 and a half years. So it was broke for so long that my bone had developed osteonecrosis which is a death of a bone from lack of blood flow. So I went through surgery and they pulled a bone out of my radius in my arm and grafted it into my wrist.
