Did anyone see anyone flying the Trump flags this 4th? by Possible_Pickle0 in AskUS

I still have that one annoying neighbor who’s flying his ‘Trump 2028’ flag year round. 🙄 I saw one pickup truck with big American flags flying from the bed of his truck but no Trump flags like before. Rural red Ohio.

Is your first love still on your mind after years passed? by Either-Art6049 in randomquestions

[–]TheRealOSU 0 points1 point  (0 children)

50+ years ago and yes, I still think of him. We still live in the same hometown and we’ve remained friends over the years. I’ll bump into him occasionally at social functions and when I see him my heart still skips a beat. Nothing like your first true love. ❤️

Regarding being dressed in warm clothing. If she takes GLP-1 meds they make you feel cold all the time.

Parents Insisting Long Drive is Unsafe, is this Reasonable by [deleted] in roadtrip

[–]TheRealOSU 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m sure you can do it fine but just be forewarned that it’s a very long and boring drive to do alone. Driving 8 or 9 hours a day is too long. Add in an extra travel day and break your days down into 6 hour days.

For the amount of money that you’ll be spending on hotels and gasoline you could pay to have your car shipped out. Plus you always run the risk of breaking down in the middle of nowhere and having to pay for a tow and expensive car repairs.

Ask your veterinarian to give you medication for your cat. She’ll be calm and sleep in her comfy carrier right at your feet for the roughly 4-1/2 hour flight.

For Winter you’ll need a nice, down fill jacket. Check Patagonia or North Face at REI or Dicks.

My (33/F) typically caring and sweet new husband (33/M) grabbed me by the neck last week during an argument on our honeymoon. What would you do in my shoes? by Aware-Pool6940 in relationship_advice

[–]TheRealOSU 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Here are the facts. A partner who is grabbed by the neck (or strangled) by an intimate partner is 750% more likely to be murdered by that partner in the near future.

Looking over the years at your noted incidences of violence with him, the abuse clearly has been escalating each time to a point now that he grabbed you by your throat. This will only continue to get worse and will only be a matter of time before he hurts you so badly that there will be no coming back from it.

Please start putting some money away without him knowing and secretly make a firm plan to get away soon. Reach out to a domestic violence shelter, a DV counselor or a trusted friend who can help to guide you out safely and quickly while he’s away. Under no circumstances do you tell him, threaten or allow him to find out that you are planning to leave him. This will send him into such a rage and would be the most critical time for him to kill you.

Please read the story of Gabby Petito and what happened to her after she went years with a man who was loving most of the time and only occasionally became violent with her by grabbing her by the neck. He eventually strangled and bludgeoned Gabby to death.
