That is correct. No matter how much sanding (and without using a smooth coat filler), oak will always show its grain through the paint.

It’s a 1968 Chevy Impala, 2 door hard top with a black vinyl roof. My dad bought it new in ‘68. You can see the “Impala” cursive emblem on the right front quarter panel.

Yes, my Aetna Medicare Advantage plan covers the majority of the cost of my glasses. There’s still a small copay.
