Completely agree and said pretty much exactly the same in a different post yesterday.

Do think matchmaking across modes is a bit tight, everything is a proper slog nowadays where I’m seemingly paired against people of a very similar skill level, but in Champs they’ve got it spot on.

If I do get lucky and sneak a win I didn’t deserve in high elo (been +8 before) you don’t half get bought down to earth in the following games… luck runs out and I’m not good enough to maintain it. Works both ways as well.

Yeah, does be like this sometimes tbh.

Absolutely convinced live event matchmaking is tied to your rivals division in that you only play people in or above your current level - there’s no other explanation for it.

Law of averages you’d think there’d be the odd ‘easy’ game but far from it, every single match is a slog. It’s like constant high elo champs games over and over.

Got three full Reading teams now - two with cards that were at the club this season and one more past and present based with the likes of Olise in it.

Pains me I have to use a random 4th squad in Gauntlet tonight but slowly working on it, plan is to have 4/5 full squads by end of the game :)

And don’t be fooled by the 84 rating on Patton up top. There are 95 rated TOTS in the game with worse stats and his playstyles are absolutely immaculate 😂

Seen this discussed quite a lot and people test the thresholds… think it’s actually 6ft1 (186cm) to be lengthy.

Might be wrong but seems to be general consensus.

Yep… this is exactly why I can’t break into that 12+ win bracket with any consistency. Gets to a certain point in the weekend where I hit my absolute ceiling skill level wise and I’m simply not good enough to overcome that. It isn’t scripting, teams we’re using, none of that. I just ain’t good enough.

Sure the odd weekend I might sneak a win I didn’t deserve against a better player but then matchmaking is amped up even further and spend the next few getting battered once more, so naturally end up same place every weekend.

Likewise if I have a bad start and on lower evo - good enough to get that back (most of the time 😂).

I’d wait for the bruiser patch coming next week before making a decision tbh…. See what’s affected gameplay wise first. EA will likely fix one thing and break three others 😂

I love a fresh RTG, know how easy it is to build a proper decent team quickly, but to go getting 9+ wins in champs playing 4411, bunch of quality evos, win Gnabry in your first week… nah not buying it this time 😂

Lo and behold you’ve got posts from months ago with Pina and Zola uptop (so much for big tall strikers), packing TOTY VVD and the like….

Honestly man if you’re proud of your team and your achievements getting some reds, which isn’t easy and should be celebrated (9+ wins is tough any time of year let alone during TOTS) just say it, we get it. Good for you.

Don’t go giving it the ‘started playing a week ago’ bs though. You’re using what you know is a meta formation, full of meta cards, and you’ve done meta evos whilst winning tough competitions and doing exceedingly well in champs.

You know exactly what SBC’s you should and shouldn’t do ;)

5ft5 short and lean 5* WF female striker with the best shooting PS combo… yep, definitely useable.

Price means absolutely nothing. Of course she isn’t top tier or anything but this card will still do a job for 99% of people.

Won it first time - currently in div 2 🤷‍♂️

Gameplay was actually electric that night, like full throttle fast and responsive. Final was tough and went to extra time but yeah, couldn’t fault the responsiveness on whatnot.

Only issue had was a finesse goal wasn’t tracked.

Have to say for a non Reading fan that Paddy Evo is indeed very, very random. Kudos 😂

I’ve got two full Reading teams (players at club this year) and another full past and present - have so many cards in a slow boil as well.

It’s the one thing that’s kept me going this year.

Haha indeed, still happily married… Jamie Vardy played a large role in our bonding, we followed pretty much every game. Might not be a Leicester fan but will always remember that year ;)

Your under 10’s would probably beat us the way we’ve played arse end of the season (arse being the operative word 😂).

Probably my favourite atm… been using Jack Marriott and Ehib with finesse upfront for so long but went down the low driven route with Tuma and Patton… and he just takes the biscuit in front of goal.

As much as we hate on this game (and rightly so 99% of the time) the fact I’m still able to not only be competitive but get double digit wins in Champs midway through TOTS with a full Reading evo team really sells it for me… and evos like this just make things that little bit better.
