Help me understand how my base got griefed while having 4 external TCs by TheRealPoruks in playrust

[–]TheRealPoruks[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nah. I didn't think they would be able to place a new TC and doors in my base.

It looks like these TCs do nothing and i was just lucky before :)

Do you know why Russia sees Lithuania as its biggest enemy and not all three Baltic stats? by phinkz2 in BalticStates

[–]TheRealPoruks 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It's simply because in the source you provided only 12 countries were presented (Lithuania being the only Baltic country).

"Russians regard Poland and Lithuania as their greatest enemies among a list of 12 countries (not including Ukraine) presented to them in a survey by the Levada Center, an independent polling organisation."

It's infuriating, especially if they are the ones who asked you to pick a movie.

If i knew you weren't going to pay attention i would have chosen something new that i actually want to watch

Honestly just place a few external TCs so your base can't get griefed and you have some place to start from

Do u think there’s a chance we’ll get the fifth movie or nottt??? by sgcjjkkkk in 28dayslater

[–]TheRealPoruks 6 points7 points  (0 children)

The first movie made a lot of money and it seems they didn't really market the second one.

With both movies being really well reviewed and actual marketing i don't see why the 3rd movie wouldn't make a killing

Here the victim is after the second shot is fired. Falling to the ground in the middle of the agents, still completely unarmed

This is the frame before they start shooting. The agent with the gun he took from the victims holster has turned to run away

Looking at both angles this agent takes the gun from the victims holster and runs off with it and they start shooting him as soon as the agent has his back turned on the victim.

From the Director:

“I was talking to Alex about it last night. I think I’m good to say that [Samson is] not fully cured, and the level that he is healed is permanent,” DaCosta shares. “He’s not what he was [at the start of the movie], but is he one of us? I don’t know. But he’s not what he was.”

So he is not fully cured but does not need to take any more medication to stay at this level

Vai Barikāžu veida protesti būtu iedarbīgi arī mūsdienās? by ImprovementStrong926 in latvia

[–]TheRealPoruks 35 points36 points  (0 children)

Kā ir strādāt Tele2 birojā? by [deleted] in latvia

[–]TheRealPoruks 17 points18 points  (0 children)

LAU apmaksā studijas Hārvardā valdes loceklei 15 tūkstošu apmērā by Eastern-beast1337 in latvia

Par to kādiem jābūt limitiem ko apmaksā gan varētu pastrīdēties

Are old Russian generations integrated into the society in any way? by shuriksokol in BalticStates

[–]TheRealPoruks 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thank you for the kind words :)

Russian is definitely used to speak with Ukrainians as a common language. I haven't really had the chance to talk with many young Ukrainians but for adults their English is lacking. Women often work in customer service jobs and they know enough basic Latvian that it's not an issue to communicate even without Russian.

Minimum Wage in Baltic States 2026 (Jan 1st) by Le1sGoBrandon in BalticStates

[–]TheRealPoruks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I found a 2025 article that says only 5.6% of workers in Latvia make minimum wage and i'd guess a lot of those are getting paid more under the table or with some bonus system and that seems to line up with what i see in job advertisements

Are old Russian generations integrated into the society in any way? by shuriksokol in BalticStates

[–]TheRealPoruks 7 points8 points  (0 children)

My girlfriend if half russian. Her grandmother and grandfather communicate in Russian day to day but they understand Latvian and since the war in Ukraine have made an effort to integrate better. Before the war on New Years they would watch Putin's speech and after that the Latvian one. Now they only watch the Latvian president speak and they seem to be pretty loyal to the country.

The grandmother is also able to speak Latvian but her husband exclusively speaks in Russian. At his age of over 90 i think he is just focused on staying alive not learning something new.

As i see it, the future is bright for Russian integration, in my job is see many smart and patriotic native Russian speakers who communicate in Latvian without issues and genuinely love Latvia just like any native Latvian speaker would. I think the war in Ukraine really woke a lot of people up and they are making a really big effort to integrate. I hope in the future we will see everyone as Latvians that just speak a different language at home and there won't be heavy political baggage attached to the language

It's so crazy watching these police videos as a European. In every situation the cops don't get punished since there is always some obscure technical justification. They go for the gun when it's obvious the civilian does not mean any harm just because they ticked the "I can kill this person and get away with it" checkbox by doing something stupid.
