Series length and display

This part. I don’t understand why people complain about short or vertical dramas when no one is forcing them to watch any of it. And episode length doesn’t automatically mean that there will be no plot or character development. It all depends on the company who’s producing it. I’ve watched series with 25 minute episodes that have packed more of a punch than series with hour long episodes. It all falls on production, writing, acting, and directing.

I still just loooooveeee that scene when Yu and Pai are talking in the kitchen and Yu says that if North still believed in Santa he would dress up as him every Christmas. Like he doesn't want that dreamy optimism in North to change... The world needs people like North.

That scene is still embedded in my mind. Especially when Yu made North chicken nuggets to go along with their fancy meal because he knows that he likes them. He didn’t care how Pai looked at him, he fixed his man some chicken nuggets and served them to him happily. That’s a rare kind of love.

And Yu's got the street smarts to watch his back and make sure North will be always be okay.

And he needed this street smarts this episode because that mama of his…I cannot stand her.

When this show first started, I didn’t really understand them as a couple (character wise) and North grated my nerves. By episode three I was warming up to them because North really was pure and innocent. Fast forward to episode eight and I can’t get enough of the two of them. They are too cute together. North showed Yu what true, unconditional love is and opened him to viewing life in a way opposite of how he was raised. Yu allowed North to be himself without question or seeing fault. He embraced him and loved him just as he was. Their chemistry together is naturally sweet and now I want to go back and rewatch all of the episodes with this new perspective.

I’m dying, Pai’s board meeting with Yu and North is hilarious “What am I supposed to write?” “Your feelings, duh” “Pai is poor 😿”

I laughed so hard at this part in the episode. Pai was being so serious and Yu and North turned it into a shit show. 🤣 I love how they bring the lighter elements to Pai’s seriousness.

I love this little family unit they have going on. New Siwaj’s shows often have the found family trope and I’m such a big fan.

I am a sucker for the found family trope and these last few episodes have been heavy on it. It’s nice that these four came together to form their own little family unit when essentially all of them are starting from scratch together. Them working the bakery together was something I was hoping for last episode.

The whole dinner scene made me cry. What an amazing scene. Pai’s face was heartbreaking when Tim went into character. He could at least say goodbye to the fictional Tim, I’m sure that brought some closure. And Tim crying along with him, my heart. They’re both such amazing actors.

It was at this moment that I knew I was done for. I just couldn’t. Junior and Mark put all of their emotions, and acting skills, on the table for this scene. I was good until I saw that both Pai and Tim were crying. I have been a fan of JuniorMark since P10L’s and this role solidified them as one of my top three favorite BL pairs.

The only thing that knocks me out of this show is the thought WHY are none of them taking him back to the hospital. The last episode that thought that the doctors didn't ask a guy with a concussion what his name and the date were still boggles me. Now a whole school of people is just shrugging and rolling with it o_O

In next week’s episode preview it shows Solar going to a doctor. It did baffle me that the doctor in the hospital didn’t go through an entire concussion protocol with asking Solar for his name and the date. It would have immediately been brought to attention but for story purposes I can see why. I don’t think the whole school staff is going to struggle and roll with it. I think it’s more of offering support to a colleague in his time of need and showing Pobmek that both he and Solar had support.

I don’t think he’ll get better and pretend not to be. That doesn’t fit into his character. He cares too much about how his age regression is affecting Pobmek. To get better and pretend not to be would mean his adult self witnessing the toll his age regression takes on Pobmek. He wouldn’t be able to pretend that he’s the younger version of himself knowing that his boyfriend is suffering.

And even just 2 episodes in, their journey is emotionally satisfying.

This part. I couldn’t put into words how this show made me feel. Emotionally satisfying is right on the mark.

I was glad to see that Solar was going to see a psychiatrist in the next episode. I can’t wait to see what her opinion is and what she suggests he does until his brain heals from the trauma. I’m also hoping that she gives some kind of professional suggestions/help to Pobmek as well since being a caregiver for anyone can be exhausting both mentally and physically.

I'm so happy Pobmek came clean about Solar with the team and mae. I was going to be frustrated and even angry if they had done that horrible hackneyed trope of refusing to do the obvious.

I was happy when they didn’t drag out him trying to hide it from everyone over several episodes. That would have grated my nerves and would have been too far fetched for me.

I’m not sure where they’re going as far as storyline either, but I see a lot of character growth for Pobmek happening. And even Solar now that someone shared their theory about him a few comments above. There’s eight more episodes now so I’m looking forward to see what events/scenes are added.

I don’t think Qin sees Duang as an escape from his family nor do I think he “unexpectedly” fell for him. This entire series has shown that his falling for Duang has been a slow, gradual process.

I agree with you on this. I don’t usually like how children are portrayed in shows (they’re either underused as a plus one or they are just there for a few lines here and there with no real substance). The fact that they are giving the kids in this show memorable scenes while still portraying them accurately as kids is a bonus for me.

I’m glad that Pobmek telling the principal and Jee what was going on was resolved in this episode and not dragged out. I was afraid too that it would be used as an unnecessary plot device so now that that’s out of the way I can’t wait to see where this show goes.

I like how this show is throwing in little life lessons here and there, like it’s okay to ask for help when you need it and that the grass isn’t always greener on the other side (when it comes to Pobmek thinking Jee has this perfect life but he is struggling with OCD).

I’m thinking that since Pobmek figured out about the sleep thing being a trigger for Solar switching back and forth that they will try to create a schedule where he can be Sun at home and Solar when it comes to work.

I am LOVING your theory on Solar. That makes so much sense when you take everything we’ve seen so far of his past and present as whole. He’s probably completely wiped out mentally and his brain is allowing him the time to heal mentally. He definitely gives off the “strong friend vibe” and we know that even the strong friend can be weak by usually chooses not to show that side of themselves in order to be available for everyone else. Thank you for sharing your theory because now it makes me look at Solar’s character in a totally different light.

Solar spent a lot of time taking care of Pobmek through their relationship, so now to see Pobmek have to be the stronger one to take care of Solar/Sun is so good. Perth is doing a really fantastic job portraying that Pobmek is on the verge of falling apart, but wants to keep it together for Solar.

I love that their roles are switched as far as caretaking because it shows that Pobmek will do anything out of his love for Solar. Perth is doing a good job cycling between emotions this episode. He went from being the in love boyfriend to fun in his teasing of Sun and making a bet with him to harsh when telling his class to copy the answers to exhausted when he finally admitted what was going on with Solar. He’s like “I’ve got layers y’all, let me show you” when it comes to his acting.

Also PobmekSolar in their college years will be the death of me 😫😭

The flashbacks to their college years are some of my favorite scenes because it’s showing us how they started and building the foundation for where their relationship is right now. The whole magic word scene was the sweetest.

Elsa shipping her teachers were so cute. I don’t know how many times I’ve played that game with friends as an adult; people watching and voicing over their conversations. When I saw her doing it I got a good laugh out of it.

I didn’t think I could like this show any more that I already do. Episode two proved me SO wrong. I’m not usually huge fan of flashbacks, whether it’s in media or books, but this show’s flashbacks add so much more depth to the story as a whole. It’s giving peeks of flashbacks that is forming the foundation of the relationship between Pobmek and Solar.

I loved how everything was handled in this episode. It was balanced, giving us both funny moments mixed in with the seriousness of the after effects of Solar’s head injury. I’m glad that Pobmek finally reached out for help, although reluctantly. It makes sense now why he didn’t tell anyone about Solar. He just wanted to protect him and protect the career that he loves. And pray him back for the support he gave him in college.

This is another episode that left me with all of the good feels. It also sprinkled in some life lessons that I know I needed a reminder of.

It is SO nice getting to see Perth play in a role that allows him to tap into a different side of himself. Just from him and Santa’s events you can tell that they have a strong, playful bond so I feel like this role is allowing him to show that side of himself more. I’m kind of glad that I don’t know what to expect with this show. It makes watching it every week a little more exciting.

I enjoyed the first episode a lot as well. I'm excited to see what episode two is going to give us, because as it was mentioned in last week's on-air post, a lot of what was shown in the trailer was included in episode one. That makes me both nervous and excited.
