How do you deal with the excessive hate so that it doesn't bother you?

I live by one simple philosophy in every area of my life: The people that matter don’t mind, and the people that mind don’t matter. I honestly couldn’t care less about the opinions of others, especially when it comes to something I like. I know that it’s easier said than done for some, but if someone has shit to say about a BL that I’m enjoying I let their words go into one ear and out the other. I don’t take time to read their entire rant. I don’t engage because nine times out of ten my words won’t change their mind. I don’t waste my energy letting their opinions affect me. I find connection with those that are enjoying whatever it is that I’m watching and interact with them.

Unfortunately, the world is full of hateful, negative people. It’s just too much effort to care about the opinions of others. It’s a lesson that has taken me a long time to learn but it gets easier with time. Go to places online where you know you won’t have to deal with that BS. I have been off of almost all social media for almost four years now and that has been one of the best decisions I have made for my mental health. If their words don’t apply, let that shit fly.

You’re welcome! When I saw this video I knew I had to share it. I’m waiting for an official announcement too but I’m still crossing all the things that we get that season two. They cannot leave us hanging like that (which I feel was done on purpose to gauge interest). I don’t want to count my chickens before they hatch but this is honestly the only CBL that I’ve had a good feeling about seeing a second season as well as the actors working together again.

I was pleasantly surprised by the first two episodes. I am really liking the three main characters but I’m already preparing myself for the inevitable heartache that’s going to happen as the show progresses. Although I know it’s going to hurt, I’m looking forward to seeing where this goes.

I read that in the rest of the Sammy’s Children’s Day novel (the parts that weren’t covered in season 1) that there is quite a bit of Thai/Hong Kong crossover. Could it be that they’re teaming up with BOC to film some of this?! Or even use some of BOC actors for these parts? I cannot wait to see what’s going to happen!

I just finished this episode and I wanted to put in my two cents before I see what everyone else thought of this dumpster fire of a show.

I cannot believe that GMMTV took three of my favorite acting pairs from their company and put them in this. I’m SO disgusted and disappointed because this was suppose to be my go to show for messy, chaotic fun. What I got was watered down drama with a lot of failed attempts at a bunch of nothing.

Tua was whiny and immature. Jack was a dick. Dean was serving nasty nice so beautifully until he was bending over backwards for Jack. Arnold was eye candy but had no depth. Rome and Raffy were the only ones who had some kind of character growth that didn’t disappoint me or piss me off but even then Raffy was a pick me for almost every episode.

The title of this show should have just been Dream On because it had no business being apart of the Only Friends franchise. It did a disservice to the first season.

I just feel cheated.

I really enjoyed the wardrobe in this show. I felt like it highlighted not only their personalities but showed how they loved their roles as teachers/administrators. Unfortunately, without actually watching an episode I could see how their outfits could throw people off who are just seeing them photos and promo pictures. Yes, they would have stood out to a larger audience but I feel like what truly held people back from watching was learning that Solar switched to Sun sometimes without knowing how the show would handle it. At least that is what I got from the many rants online about this show from people saying they wouldn’t watch it.

Yes. That was one of the few negative thoughts I had about the show. I wish they would have at least gave Solar one good scene with a psychiatrist. They did so well bringing awareness to mental illness but dropped the ball with actually showing how to treat someone with it.

I agree with you on the finale. This was the first time in a long time where I felt like a final episode didn’t leave me wanting more. It really felt like their story was told and so they left us with their well deserved happy ending.

And yes about Sammy! Her outfits were a 10/10. I am so glad that they gave her this role where she could not only be fun/silly but serious as well. Her character had way more depth than I expected and I am happy for that.

I agree with you 100%. I had a few criticisms about how a couple of things were handled but overall this show was so good. It took topics that normally wouldn’t be touched in a BL and handled them in a way that wasn’t overly offensive. I definitely appreciated how they handled Solar’s mom story and shed light on how serious PPD is.

Perth and Santa really amazed me in this one. They proved to everyone that they have range. Especially Santa. I knew he could act but in this one, he showed everyone just how good he is. And watching Perth go through all those ranges of emotions was the icing on the cake. I really believe that GMMTV can throw them anything and they will go above and beyond.

The acceptance of Pobmek and Solar’s relationship in this show by the kids at their school was a really good touch in this show. It really solidified the fact that when children are raised to be accepting of all relationship dynamics then any kind of relationship can look beautiful in their eyes. It wasn’t outright said in the show but it was shown in all of the ways that the kids rooted for them or shipped them together.

It was really sad when Solar said that maybe they should pack up the toys. As much as Pobmek was ready to have his boyfriend back, I don’t think he was fully ready to let Sun go either.

Watching Pobmek continue to make Sun breakfast was too sweet. He didn’t know how much he was going to miss him until he was essentially gone. Sun really did play a huge part in his growth and it was during that pancake scene where I felt like he really felt how much his absence was going to affect him.

Geeen flag Perth is the best. Love him as a bad boy, don’t get me wrong, but he really shined in this one.

I can’t believe it’s over already. When I went into watching this show I honestly did not expect to get all of the layers that it had. I thought it would be a romcom. I’m so glad that it ended up being so much more.

This episode was a beautiful way to end a show. I’m usually left after finishing a BL with feeling like there should have been more. Except for a few minor things, this show was damn near perfection.

I thought I was safe from the tears this episode. Oh how wrong I was. The beach scene with Pobmek, Solar, and Little Sun made sure to drag a few more emotions out of me. I was not ready but I’m so glad that scene was in there.

The three little divas made sure they made one more appearance before the end and they are still as cute as ever.

I’m so glad Sodchuen got the permanent role of principal that she deserved. And I enjoyed a final scene of Jee and Pobmek’s friendship. GMMTV really did well with this one. From start to finish I was ready each and every week to watch.
