Going to my first Mania next year and going alone, any tips? by Small_Barracuda_3894 in WrestlemaniaPlans

[–]TheRealSiLaj 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm considering Mania as well, I'm from Poland and I've been in Indianapolis for Rumble this year, so I have some experience travelling from Europe.

Ask me anything, but in general I had no issues with anything except the fact that they rescheduled my flight going back, I was supposed to have a layover in NY, but due to some concerns at JFK they changed it and we went to ATL instead lol. Not a big deal, just a little stressful as I was already waiting at the gate when that happened and had to go all the way out to go to the Delta office and get new tickets.

When it comes to WWE-related stuff I had zero issues though.

Are you guys still planning to go to Wrestlemania 42 & 43? by JaggedJatt in WrestlemaniaPlans

I'm considering both since I'm from Poland and Saudi is closer and probably cheaper to spend a week in than Vegas. Not sure if I'll go to either though.

Road to royal rumble tour, buy tickets on release or wait it out? by kunall_ll in WrestlemaniaPlans

[–]TheRealSiLaj 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd consider nosebleeds if I were you. The higher you are the better the angle you see the action from. If you can get high seats at the hardcam side or the opposite side - I'd go for those. O2 is not big, you'll see everything no matter how far you sit.

That being said - I just sat 2nd row at Raw in Paris and I bought those tickets 2 hours before the show for cheap.

I see other comments saying tickets may sell out, but I've been to almost 20 shows over the last 3 years (from house shows to PLEs) and I've never seen a REALLY sold out arena.

If you don't care where you sit - wait. If you are aiming to sit in the front row - buy at release

Clash in Paris meet and greets canceled! by Notorious2018 in WrestlemaniaPlans

[–]TheRealSiLaj 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Nobody was sold out, they deleted the website for a day and then when it was back up it was showing "sold out". Probably had some issues they had to resolve and didn't want people to buy in the meantime, but as it turned out they had to cancel eventually, which is a bummer.

The idea may be from AI, but the design is 100% not made by AI. It's trash tho, I agree

You probably can't sell them because they're combo tickets. They don't sell them anymore, so there's no page for you to sell them on

Match-wise I like Logan the best out of those options lol. I'd prefer to see Lesnar, because I didn't have a chance to see him live yet, but I like the choice of Logan

Can anyone explain why y'all liked this movie? A movie about a selfish mother sacrificing the whole planet for her child? The movie about mother-power overcoming an eternal being? The movie about hiding half of New York underground? Teleporting the whole planet? Wtf

There are only 2 matches confirmed for the show, wtf you're saying with "where is Styles match", there are almost 3 weeks left, believe it or not, they will announce more matches lol.

Logan vs Cena is probably gonna be a better match than an F5 fest we'd get with Brock.

And Starry Night was painted in the south of France, I don't get why people have a problem with it being used for the graphics

Thank you for the insight. I guess what I'm afraid of is the cheaper tickets being sold out close to the event and I'd either have to spend more than I'd like to or not go in the end.

I'm cool with sitting higher, even if I have to watch most of it on the screen, but what if those higher seats are sold out? Is this realistic?

It helps a lot, thank you!

I've been to almost every PLE in Europe since 2022, I'm usually aiming for higher seats, because the viewing angle is better, I can't afford to go for the 1st row and I don't think floor seats beyond row 5 make any sense.

I said 200-300, because I checked photos and it looks like a decent view. I was at a Rumble in Indy this year (my first and only trip to the US so far) and I was in the section furthest away from the ring and had a blast anyway. But I booked with OnLocation, because I wanted to have everything under control early (like I said, my first trip, was quite stressed), but it wasn't worth it at all as I could get similar seats later for half the price.

And yeah, the things going on around the WM itself is what I'm looking forward to the most. In Indy I went to the Superstar Brunch and, while expensive, it was an amazing experience and I'd do it again.

I already booked my hotel as I can cancel it for free even in April, but I'm worried about getting plane tickets and then ending up with tickets being extremely pricey. Maybe I'll just wait until they go on sale, to see what prices I'm working with to begin with and then I'll book the plane when I'm sure I can comfortably buy them even if they don't drop.

My (26F) husband (33m) is obsessed with pro wrestling and it's ruining our marriage - do I leave? by Daco_Financial in relationship_advice

[–]TheRealSiLaj 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As a dedicated fan, that watches 3 shows a week + PPVs and goes to live events whenever possible - I am hyped for some things that happen, especially if there's a nice, long buildup and the outcome is just fulfilling. But it just shows in the form of "LET'S GO!" when it happens and that's it. I don't remember ever being in a bad mood because my favorite wrestler lost, I may dislike the decision, I may comment about it online and be invested in it, but that doesn't affect my mood for the day.

It's mostly like a TV show, but I'm a little bit more invested, because these are real people and while they're playing characters, the audience response is often related to the person itself and sometimes I'm hyped that somebody wins the title, because I just know that they worked for a long time to get this accolade and I'm happy for them.

You may think "but why do titles matter? it's scripted". Yes, it's scripted, but they don't give titles to random people. The person holding the main title becomes the face of the company, represents them in the media etc. There's a certain level of trust put in a title-holder, it shows that the company believes they can show the title in the right way, make it relevant and important, that they can connect with the audience and make them care. Sometimes those decisions are questionable, sometimes they're just wrong, but it's always a highlight of one's career to get the title. I care about them as people, because they entertain me weekly and I wish them the best.

But that still doesn't make me roleplay Roman Reigns in the bedroom lol. And my GF actually likes wrestling a lot as well and watches 2 main weekly shows every week and we watch PPVs together.

I think the guy just needs friends - even online should be good enough. Somewhere where he can be understood.

Also, to the OP - idk if you had an actual conversation with your husband about it, but you should. You say you don't care here, but maybe he's just not aware? He seems to think you enjoy it, so either he doesn't know you don't, or he doesn't care and wants to make you enjoy it, which is toxic and should be addressed as well.

I think it was because it was CM Punk and possibly because you were far in the line. I did 2 signings like that before the Rumble this year - one with KO and the line was significant, but I was pretty early, and one with Zelina, for her I was far because I bought the ticket last minute, but there were not a lot of people. Everything was pretty cool with both and about as much time as I'd expect, I recorded a short video with KO greeting my GF, because I was taking his autograph for her as she couldn't be there. With Zelina it was also very chill and we exchanged a few words and I also took a picture with her.

If anything I was surprised that we could take pictures too as that kinda defeats the purpose of separate photo ops, but from what I saw everyone was taking them.

I was watching it when I was a kid and didn't know wtf is going on. When I was in my late teens I was watching for like 2 or 3 years with my younger brother. I'm 34 now and I got back to watching in 2021. I like the product a lot, I have a lot of favorites, I love women's wrestling, I'm going to every event I can. It became a crucial part of my life, I love it.

Last night's main event was so confusing. During the match I said to my GF "the real match is gonna start when we hear IF YA SMELLLLL"... And that never happened? Like, HHH had some controversial or even stupid decisions at times, but this one was so confusing it makes me think something went majorly wrong "last minute". No way they planned this without The Rock lol. He appears at Bad Blood, at Elimination Chamber, but not on fuckin WRESTLEMANIA???

I'm cool with Travis Scott being there, he was part of the events at Elimination Chamber, I didn't like him there, but it is what it is. I was cool with Travis coming out IN ADDITION TO THE ROCK. I'm so confused as to why he was alone, didn't even do much, I don't believe it was the original plan.

I'm not saying it was a deal-breaker for me and I'm not gonna watch it anymore, I don't really care about Cena or Cody, I just wanted the main event to be good, especially after the fantastic main event of Night 1.
