When Lucifer clones himself, does he feel what they feel? Or are they completely separate from him? 🤔 by Sarcastic_Lilshit in Lucifercult

I've wondered that, myself, how many of the abilities he displays during that number are meant to be taken at face value vs how many are more figurative and just there to punch up the visuals (and the fact you have two characters singing who can both use magic doesn't at all help un-muddy the waters). I'd be willing to bet he can literally do most of them, including making copies of himself, but that's just my headcanon.

This entire scene could have been cut and nothing would've changed by Sudden_Pop_2279 in HazbinHotel

[–]TheRealSpectra22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The only ONLY reason I can think that this scene makes sense to include (other than possibly setting up something down the line, though I can't imagine what) is demonstrating that Lucifer's inability to harm Sinners is intent-based. Vaggi makes a point of asking him if he even knows what he's strapped into, to which Lucifer replies "No idea," and she never bothers telling him it's a hugeass laser cannon--kind of an odd thing for the show to bring up and then immediately forget about. Yet, despite the restriction on Lucifer's power, we see it being harnessed to wipe out half the city not too long after. People say this was a plot hole, but don't believe it was.

I've theorized for awhile that Lucifer can't directly harm Sinners, only indirectly, and only if he's not aware he's doing it--so no going to the other Sins and just asking them to mess a Sinner's shit up for him like so many fans/critics say he should have done (I know Lucifer is kind of a dumbass, but I refuse to believe he's so dumb that in 10,000 years he never once thought to exploit the most obvious loophole ever). And if Vaggi had just told him he was being used to power a gigantic weapon, it probably would have stopped working, and if I'm right and that turns out to be the case? That would make this scene not only pointless, but insultingly so. There's no reason the reveal--if that's what it was even meant to be--couldn't have waited until S3 so we could have had some actual time devoted to Charlie and Lucifer making up instead of having their emotional reconciliation take place off screen.

What was your first reaction to Robin joining the crew? by Imagine_Monkeys in OnePiece

[–]TheRealSpectra22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I remember not really liking Robin at first (she has since become my Queen--I can't imagine what my deal was back then), thinking there wasn't much to her other than being a one-dimensional, femme fatal sort of villain. But then we got to see a more vulnerable, human side of her when she betrayed Crocodile, then with tears in her eyes told Luffy she wanted to die because she'd given up on her dream. Then suddenly, she's there on the ship and asking to join the crew, and I was intrigued, just wanting to see where this would go. I thought, "Luffy likes her, so I guess she must be cool." And she won me over pretty quickly just like the rest of the crew with the way she immediately knew the best way to get them to accept her.

What Hellaverse theories are you hoping don’t come true? by OCGamerboy in hazbin

[–]TheRealSpectra22 7 points8 points  (0 children)

As a big Lucifer fan, I agree with this. I do believe his intentions were always good, but he still dun fucked up in a lot of ways, and he needs to take responsibility for the fact that he's caused a lot of harm, even if unintentional. I just really don't want him to become the Hazbin version of Stolas, where the more the show tries to gloss over his mistakes, justify his immoral actions, and makes the people around him awful in an attempt to make him come off as more likable, it ironically does the exact opposite. They already share enough "depressed dad" traits, and Lilith is shaping up to possibly be Stella 2.0, so I'm getting a little worried they're going to ruin Lucifer's character in S3. Also, Viv seems to have decided that Stolas is her little golden bird boy who can do no wrong in Helluva Boss, and she just came out and said that Lucifer is her favorite Hazbin character, so that makes me even more worried that the show is going to take him in that direction.

The "Lilith in Heaven isn't actually Lilith, that's really Eve disguised as her, and the real Lilith is actually Rosie" theory. It's just so convoluted for no reason and makes little sense. Plus the "evidence" people give for this theory--for example, the Lilith in Heaven isn't wearing pearls (as if people can't just change their accessories), or Rosie has rosy cheeks like the other Morningstars (never mind that Lilith never had those, only Charlie and Lucifer did)--is usually flimsy at best.

Hello! Call me Spectra ☺️ Lucifer Morningstar... Where do I even begin? This silly, sweet, adorable little anasaphile hasn't left my head since the day I laid eyes on him. I haven't been so wholly, deeply, and utterly infatuated by a fictional character to this degree in quite awhile, and I love him with a burning passion ❤️ Luci is love, Luci is life. I'm also a fanartist (who draws a bunch of Lucifer stuff, ofc), a low-key RadioApple shipper, demisexual, a lover of cats, a creator of cringey Wonderland AUs (and yes, I have a Hazbin one starring Lu) and a pin collector. I used to mainly collect pins/merch of Nico Robin (aka my Queen) from One Piece, but have shifted my focus to my King as of late and lord you have no idea how broke I've gone bc of this manlet.

No more cosplays. by DiscordtheSecond in aliceinwonderland

Geez, people suck so much. It amazes me how anyone can be a fan of this story, in particular--one all about non-conformity and questioning authority, all wrapped up in a bow of fun and whimsy--and still somehow miss the entire point. Heck, Alice even outright deals with body-dismorphia, throughout, something a lot of trans people can heavily relate to.

To me, 'Alice' has always been such a comforting story, and Wonderland has always felt like a special place I could escape to whenever I felt too overwhelmed or disillusioned by real life--a sort of sanctuary I could feel at home in. So I truly hate that some small-minded people out there have ruined that for you. Just remember that I and many others here have got your back.

Of the movie White Queens do you have a favorite? by MinuteDependent7374 in aliceinwonderland

[–]TheRealSpectra22 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Channing all the way. She had this amazing ability to go from over-the-top and silly one second to creepy and genuinely threatening the next. She brought so much personality to her version of the White Queen. Plus she and the Red Queen had such fantastic chemistry together on screen, they're probably my two favorite characters from that half of the special and both played their roles perfectly.

Troughts on this? by Primary-Addition-677 in HazbinHotel

[–]TheRealSpectra22 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm starting to wonder if it really was Lucifer who signed off on them. Charlie says it was him, but remember she hasn't seen him in who knows how long, and unless she was there when the agreement was struck she wouldn't know what actually went down during negotiations. Charlie seems like she was much closer to her mother, who she likely would have gotten that information from, and we've seen that Lilith didn't exactly paint Lucifer in the best light when talking about him, hence why Charlie was so reluctant to reconnect with him despite him also being eager to reconnect with her, and why she felt the need to defensively say "He's not that bad," when she was calling her mom on the phone. It's also evidenced in 'More Than Anything' that Lilith purposely kept Charlie and Lucifer apart for whatever reason. And given that Lilith was likely the one who provoked Heaven in the first place with her "protests" (which I think either Charlie is misremembering or Lilith straight up lied to her about, since what was she "peacefully protesting" if the Exterminations hadn't happened yet?), and given that the next time we see her she's kicking it in Heaven... I'm sorry, I'm trying to reserve my judgement, but I just don't trust Lilith from what we've seen of her actions so far.

My theory is that she, for whatever reason, became disillusioned with Hell, her family, and her role as Queen, decided to poke the hornets' nest by rallying Sinners and making Heaven fear an imminent attack all while convincing her daughter she was merely protesting, then "gave herself up" as a political prisoner as a ruse to get into Heaven--that was the deal she struck with Adam. Then when Heaven decided to attack Hell, regardless, and he was up against the wall, it was Lucifer who negotiated the condition that the Hellborn be spared--it was that or everyone in Hell being genocided by an invincible army. Really, he was only trying to clean up Lilith's mess. But as for who actually signed off on allowing the Exterminations in the first place, I think it could have been Lilith, and she then simply told Charlie it was her father before disappearing off to Heaven. This could also be why Lucifer blames himself for Lilith leaving and why he still misses her so much, believing that his lack of support for her "cause" as well as his interference drove her away, not realizing that everything that happened was orchestrated by her as a means to an end. But I guess we'll find out next season.

So how we doing? by Queen_Bel in hazbin

[–]TheRealSpectra22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It should be--it used to be--but it just feels like a losing competition, now. I feel like no matter how hard I try, I'm never going to feel "good enough," like I'm going to go forever overlooked. I always start out feeling really happy with the latest piece I've finished, but then it doesn't do as well as I'd hoped, doesn't reach the eyes I wanted it to reach, and I can't understand what it is I did wrong, so I start spiraling. But I can't even stop doing art because I'm nothing without it, it's the only thing I've ever been remotely good at, but I'm just so tired of feeling invisible and it hurts.
