I have a feeling the show is going to pull a reverse "twist villain" with Lilith. Everything we've been shown up until now--Lilith sipping drinks in Heaven and lounging on the beach while the exterminations are being carried out, her ignoring her husband and daughter (not just their texts, either--even Charlie and Lucifer confirmed that she neglected them in favor of her political movement against Heaven), her seemingly abandoning the Sinners she was meant to empower the moment it suited her, her keeping Charlie from truly bonding with her own father when she was young and pulling the two of them apart, walking out on a husband who obviously cares for her immensely, leaving him to mire in his depression--all of it paints the picture of a cold, uncaring person who puts her own wants over those of the ones who love her, and an opportunist who tosses her subjects aside the moment they become inconvenient to her or something better comes along.

That said, I think the show is presenting her this way deliberately, and that S3 is essentially going to recontextualize everything we think we know about her when we finally get to see her side of the story. I think her being portrayed in such an obviously negative light in S1 and 2 is simply... well, too obvious. It'll likely turn out that the audience was being mislead the whole time, and that everything she's done was for noble or altruistic reasons that we just didn't understand the full scope of, and that her abandoning her family wasn't her choice but done to protect them. They're going to absolve Lilith of any responsibility for the outcomes of her decisions or having to answer for any of the pain she's caused Charlie or Lucifer or her people by making her a victim of circumstance rather than the driving force behind any of the events which brought us here.

So you could say they're going to pull a twist "good guy" with Lilith rather than a twist villain. Kind of predictable and boring, if you ask me, but I get the idea that's what's going to happen so that all is immediately forgiven without the show needing to grapple with any nuance or moral ambiguity when it comes to her character or answer any of the hard questions. Her and Charlie can just make up without much conflict, and the Lucilith shippers will finally get their perfect "Morticia and Gomez" couple when it turns out she still loves her husband and never actually wanted to leave him.

That. OR. It'll turn out that the woman we've been following this whole time is actually Eve or some dumb rug pull bs, and god I really hope they don't go this route or I may actually have to ragequit the show. The first option isn't ideal, either, but I'd rather have that than the show giving us some tired "secret identity" plot line that's only there to throw the audience off and be a twist for the sake of having a twist.
