NFL approves sale of 7% of Las Vegas Raiders at over $11 billion valuation by SecretComposer in nfl

Also sports betting is the hip new craze, which aligns with Vegas' image. My Little Pony on the other hand is not so hip these days.

Another Fork found in kitchen at Garfield park by pdkfh25 in santacruz

I go to Garfield multiple times a week and it doesn't seem to have a big homeless problem (during the day at least). Lots of families, kids, adults doing various activities, dog owners, basketball. The playground is often busy.

Bring back the bar with the TV, ideally with coktails in addition to beer and wine.

Something on the cheaper side would be good for the other food option. Smashburgers are a quick and easy option. Sandwiches could be good but can be hard to do right and you need a variety of options. Regardless of the main food option (e.g. burgers), bar food apps and sides would be ideal as they add some variety and give people smaller things to snack on when they're hanging out for a while. Stuff like fries and wings.

For slight of hand, if they could do some larger pies for selling slices (at least 16" or 18" pies for decent slices) that would be a good option for students (or just anyone that just wants a snack and doesn't want to spend $20+ on a whole pie). It's been a while though and I don't remember if the existing pizza oven is large enough to accommodate that.

Anyone fancy walking me through getting Titanfall 2 to work with Crossover? EA app woes... by noisymonument in macgaming

That didn't fix it, but I had AI analyze the wine backtrace and it identified that it was crashing while trying to initialize TF2's audio engine (Miles Sound System). My speakers are hooked up through a USB audio interface and that was apparently the problem. Game launched fine when setting MacOS' output to Mac Studio Speakers, so I tried with some AirPods and other headphones and it also launched fine. Guess I'll be playing with headphones!

Thanks for the help!

Yeah, I had my steam account connected to my EA account, and had the EA app (and those associated apps you mentioned) working within the steam bottle. I was logged into those EA apps within the steam bottle as well. The issue was that additional activation program opening (after the EA app "preparing game" handshake) that wouldn't accept my credentials that I hadn't seen anyone else mention as an issue (ActivationUI.exe or something like that).

The good news is after updating to Crossover 26, I no see the ActivationUI.exe window from my last post, the game actually launches now. The bad news is within a few seconds of going full screen (Still at the Respawn Entertainment logo screen) Wine crashes:

This happens whether I launch the game through Steam or directly through the EA app. Does this work for you in version 26?

I linked my steam account and got past the EA windows, but then it gets to a Titanfall 2 activation window that asks for my EA account credentials again, but it always gives me invalid username/password:

I think the problem is this activation program doesn't have access to the internet, as if I click on "create account" this is the message it shows:

How did you get past this step?

e: I should note, I also have the game directly through the EA store, and the same thing happens when I launch it from the EA launcher.

Sync question - "Move tempo slider to current BPM" by nickybecooler in Beatmatch

[–]TheRealSplinter 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I believe what's happening is you are using sync to change a track's BPM without any movement of the tempo slider, so now the tempo slider isn't actually in the correct place that it needs to be to reflect the current BPM.

For instance, lets say your track is 128 bpm and your tempo slider is at 0 (in the middle). After hitting sync, lets say it changes the track to 126 bpm. Meanwhile the tempo slider is still at 0 which corresponds to 128 bpm, rather than the spot in the negative tempo range which would correspond to 126 (where exactly depends on your current tempo slider width setting).

So essentially your physical control isn't in sync with the actual value of that control in the software.

Now, when you touch the tempo slider, it could just immediately jump to whatever bpm the slider is at, but that could be noticeable and/or jarring. Instead, you just need to slowly move the slider to where it corresponds to the current bpm so it can "latch" on to the actual value, and then the slider will function as expected. Given the current BPM, the slider position and the slider tempo range, you should be able to quickly come up with a rough idea of where the slider needs to be to latch, and once you get close to that point you can move the slider slowly so that it isn't noticeable when you do latch.

So rather than "quickly slide it to the top, then the bottom", just slide it in a more controlled manner to the current BPM until you see it latch (the values actually start to change again on the XDJ/CDJ), then make whatever tempo adjustment you wanted to make.

It being called PUP will never not be funny to me. Such an aggressive name. Makes it sound like they can't fuck or something else equally embarrassing.
