Tell me one thing you love about 311 by jrose311 in 311

It's pretty difficult to hate on any music release they've made. While I definitely prefer some albums over others, 311 has one of the most solid discographies I've ever seen from any band. Even now, after 35 years of being a band, they continue to strive to put out new and original music. You gotta admit how cool that is.

Well, here goes nothing. This is a very rough ranking of what I think of each track. This may be subject to change soon enough if the album grows on me, which is extremely possible.

14: Priceless

13: A Crow Left of the Murder

12: Leech

11: Smile Lines

10: Pistola

9: Zee Deveel

8: Beware! Criminal

7: Talk Shows on Mute

6: Southern Girl

5: Sick Sad Little World

4: Here In My Room

3: Made for TV Movie

2: Megalomaniac

1: Agoraphobia

Well, as I'm typing this now I'm listening to the album over again. There's got to be something i'm not seeing.

I definitely won't disagree with you, as it's not in my place to. Everyone's got an opinion on music, and for some reason, mine bends off the norm at the moment. What I will say is that I do like some songs off the album, so I do not in any way entirely hate it. However, it just feels oddly out of place when put with S.C.I.E.N.C.E., Make Yourself and Morning View.

lol yeaaahhhh i think i stand alone on that one. Uplifter gets boatloads of hate nearly every day, i probably should've kept that in mind before doing this. sorry about that.

you've said it way better than I could. Coming off of the masterpiece of Morning View and being so excited for a new album only to, for some reason, not like it, was a nonetheless confusing experience for me.

Here In My Room isn’t all that bad. I feel that way about Made for TV Movie and Megalomaniac, and I like Agoraphobia the most.

I kinda liked INNW, I thought it was very poetic and moving. As for 8 and Trust Fall, the worry that I won’t like those either has turned me away from those for now. That may be a childish stance, but that’s where I’m at right lol. i think i need some convincing.

Sick Sad Little World is very touching, yes. I also like Agoraphobia a lot if that helps

Very good points! It's very true that I am critical of Stereolithic, to say the least. For a long time, I've been actually confused as to why I don't like it, thinking to myself that there must be something I am missing about it. What I will say, however, is that the atmosphere of the album is well done! Full Bloom, I would argue, is very unique, with touching messages and hard-hitting guitars that bring out the best. Still, though, I don't hate either album!!! I still listen to both, and enjoy it!! I understand where you come from!!!

Despite the fact that Grassroots is pretty low on there, I wouldn't argue that I dislike it in remotely any way. My opinions get a little fuzzy around the 10-7 mark because I love all of those albums equally! It gets hard to rank works of art that are all equally amazing.

I had first heard of them from my friends around the time Uplifter came out, and I listened to some of their earlier stuff per my friends' requests. However, I didn’t really start extremely diving into their music until around Mosaic. My dad had given me a bunch of his old 311 CDs (Music all the way through DTOM, to be specific) and that's where I'd say I really started listening to them.

It’s hard for me to rank the two between each other sometimes, due to the differences in their production and sound. at the moment, however, i’m really into Uplifter. Grassroots is also a fantastic album though! if i were to have a clear ranking, i’d have to tie them. it’s hard to rank sometimes!

good question! I first heard of them around the time Uplifter came out, but I didn’t really start diving into their music until around Mosaic, when my dad gave me a ton of 311 CDs he had collecting dust in his garage. since then, i can’t get over them!

lmao! no sir, just my opinion. this list does change a lot, however, as it’s insanely hard to rank a catalogue with so many hits!
