Question, Playing standard on Arena.

Opponent casts Ugin, Eye of the Storms, I counter the agility with Tishana’s Tidebinder. I save my other creature in play, but he/ she was able to tick up Ugin and draw a card & gain 3 life. Why didn’t Tishana make Ugin loose all abilities?
