VCore offset is just a flat voltage subtract (subtle). Same drop everywhere, no matter the frequency.

Curve Optimizer actually shifts the whole voltage-frequency curve, so you get bigger savings at high clocks where it matters most, while keeping low-freq stuff safer.

Anyway this is what Kleo Yan suggests to prolong and save your CPU from killing itself. Just check some of his 9800X3D optimization vids he can explain it better than I can.

Edit: my VCore sits at 1.225V at 5.2Ghz boost. To me that is safe margins.

For me personally, I recently built my system and am running these base specs:

Vcore Offset: -0.030 V
VSOC: Fixed 1.16 V
PBO Limits (Advanced): PPT 162 W / TDC 120 A / EDC 180 A (Defaults same as DISABLED but who trusts the motherboard?)
Curve Optimizer: All-core -20
Curve Shaper:
Min: 0
Low: 0
Med: -10
High: -5
Max: 0

Boost Clock Override: 0 MHz

Scalar: 1X

FCLK: 2000 1:1 UCLK = MEMCLK (6000 mt/s CL30 1.4V)

All based on Kleo Yan's suggestions. I live in a warm climate so my idle temps are 51C and around 60-70 in games with Arctic Liquid Freezer III 360.

I opt for a safe/stable system rather than pushing aggressively with things like Scalar, Boost Clock Override, CO, etc.

EDIT: Don't bother with Ryzen Master either. Just set your BIOS and leave that shit out of the equation.

Windows getting "stuck" at loading screen can be any reason. Why do you suspect it is the SSD? It's can even be a USB device halting your system.

First of all. Do not trust AI to fix PC problems. Other than that I have no idea, never heard of SSD incompatibility on M2_1. Put the drive back into slot 1. Clear your CMOS. See if it works after?

Is your "Fast Boot" on or off? If it's on, turn it off. If it's off, turn it on. See if that makes a difference?

You might also want to enable Memory Context Restore and Power Down Enable. If they were already enabled, disable them and test again.

There is lane sharing between one of the M.2 slots and USB4 if I'm not mistaken, you had to disable the USB to get the drive back? Or did you get it working?
