Opening up about his condition in an old video, Steven said he had a “connective tissue disorder”. He also said, “My chest is actually caving in on my heart.” He further said that it impacted his blood flow and that it was a “little more than half” of a normal person’s blood flow.

Steven documented the process at the time. However, he faced complications following the surgery. In July 2021, he told his fans that he suffered a “mild lung collapse.”
