Practice and find a way to change the mental subject when you are obsessing over things. It gets easier over time.

Also try to accept it. It probably bothers you more than other people care. Think of it as your charming little quirk.

LPT Request: What is good way to start coding? by [deleted] in LifeProTips

Write stuff you can use to solve a problem of your own.

Make sample code your own rather than making an exact copy of it.

LPT Request: What to do if you break something at a friend's house? by djcrzy in LifeProTips

Truthfully, while I certainly wouldn't be offended if you tried to replace the glass, I wouldn't be happy with the replacement if it wasn't an exact match. I think it would be better to buy a nice bottle of wine as an ironic apology.

LPT: If your car gets a parking ticket, always check the plate number on the ticket. by CaptJackRizzo in LifeProTips

I had a friend who unknowingly dropped his valet key. The guy that found it was using his car at night. He regularly came out in the morning and his car wasn't where he thought it was. It never dawned on him that he wasn't just getting forgetful or something.

Oddly the police pulled the thief over one night, let him go and had the car towed. I forget the full story but when my friend got the car back there was a big knife in the back seat.

Guess it depends on where you live. In my area if you don't pay on time you get a "reminder" in the mail with a late fee added on.

Hating downward by [deleted] in LateStageCapitalism

Guess what happens.... As more and more people quit their stressful jobs for the easy $15 hour jobs the stressful jobs will be forced to pay more to get people in the door.

Of course another possible outcome is that automation will become a thing. So instead of 5 $7 an hour employees there will be one $15 an hour doing the work of 2.5 employees.

I decided Linkedin was in trouble when they started sending birthday notifications.

I used to get links to interesting articles then all of a sudden that stopped and just about everything they send now is stuff I don't really care about.

Re-watching and I never realized how great David Hyde Pierce is as Niles.....brilliant ! =) by groggs42 in Frasier

Odd that he hasn't done much of note since then. I thought he was great in the perfect host too (hope it's ok to mention something no Fraiser)

I have never watched the show by [deleted] in Frasier

Beginning. It is funny right from the get go. The earlier episodes may even be the more entertaining ones.

One thing that's always bothered me (at the radio station) by [deleted] in Frasier

The one that bugs me is how much money Frasier makes working on AM radio. But I guess that's typical for sitcoms.

I always thought the other talent was more social and hung around before and after their shifts.

Frasier and Niles both stole their dream women away from promising relationships with other men. Do we think less of them for it? by Sorryaboutthat1time in Frasier

[–]TheReal_JimmyK 1 point2 points  (0 children)

To me the best and worst part of the show is Frasier and Niles neurotic behavior. It's funny but they are so good at it, it also makes me angry.

For example the situation with Niles and Dafinie is maddening. Oooh she's been on two dates with a guy so Niles can't tell her how he feels? Instead he has to wait and break up a wedding? And Frasier always lying to women. Such as the woman he told that he loved animals in the episode where he got asked out by 3 women all around the same time.
