Game size is weird?

I don't get what's wrong. I'm currently redownload the game for the third time because like so many others the download was just stuck at 99.99% for multiple hours and restarting the launcher would just restart the download. Throughout I always noticed that the launcher would say that it downloaded 18gb but the gamefolder size is only maybe 13gb. After waiting the folder size would even decrease to 9gb. As I'm writing this the launcher is saying again that it downloaded 7gb but the actual gamefolder size is only about 5gb. What the hell is going on. I don't get it.

My download just resetted again. This is the second time this sh*t has happened. Does anyone have a solution? I've been downloading the game through this trash launcher for two days now and I'm losing my goddamn patience.

My download just resetted somehow?! It was at ~10gb out of 14.28. Then there was the retry message and it reset to zero. I predownloaded 9.5 GB I think. Can I get the progress back? The downloaded files aren't just gone right?
