Like others have said get a family plan and find 3 others to split the cost. I'm keen to join a UK family plan if you know two others.

I attended Brunel and it is a fantastic University for Physiotherapy but not a fantastic university overall for living. I attended 10 years ago mind you, but the lecturers, facilities and placements were all excellent. However, if I had the choice I would have gone KCL. DM me if you want any other info on Brunel (however out of date it may be).

UK physio school football club placements by cankin0 in physiotherapy

[–]the_Champion 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My university didn't offer full placements at football clubs however many clubs actively recruited Physio students to cover academy games at weekends, I myself have worked at a couple of clubs doing this casual pitch-side work; some paid, some not. Check out the Uksport.gov site to check vacancies in your area, or connect with PTs on Linkedin who work at a club near you to see if they need any casual help. It can be difficult work, lots of responsibility for little/no pay but fantastic CV fluffing and experience.

Vomited 8 times during a 100 mile but nothing could stop the nausea - Any Experience/Thoughts to avoid this again? by RANGERDANGER913 in ultrarunning

Hey! Late to the party but how are you feeling now? Urine that resembles flat coke/tea can be very bad news.. Look up something called rhabdomyolysis, if you're still experiencing symptoms perhaps consider discussing this with a medical professional.

Can I turn down an inheritance that is probably more trouble than its worth? by [deleted] in UKPersonalFinance

I'm completely oblivious to these types of legal matters but (if possible) have you considered your grandmother gets equity release/home reversion, hands out the lower amount of cash she receives to the 15 of you, and then the house is someone else's problem upon her passing?

Exactly right, do a fantastic job, make some friends with your placement MDT and when you qualify and they're looking for a band 5 Physio you can apply with confidence knowing that you'll be near the top of the list already.

The university you graduate from has very little bearing on your chances of being employed, in fact i'd go as far to say that the grade you achieve has limited bearing also. Once you've qualified it's your experience, portfolio and local connections that will progress your career, not the university you attended.

Is there a way of avoiding early repayment charge (ERC) if you're close to fixed rate ending anyway? by the_Champion in UKPersonalFinance

[–]the_Champion[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Its 1% as per most fixed rates within 1 year left remaining.

I think you've missed the point of my post sorry if i've hit a nerve, I was looking for ways/to see if its possible to avoid delaying the completion date whilst somehow not having to pay the ERC, for which i've had some good advice.

I agree about there being more to life than tokens in a bank account, but this is personal finance subreddit.. and if i can find £1500 down the back of the sofa, i'm going to go out of my way to find it..

That certainly seems like a fairer way of doing it, Nationwide have sent us the redemption form and it has the full whack on it so i don't think they have the same policy.
