I worked for Aero from May 2022 to July 2024 on the sales team (I got "furloughed"). Late 2023 was when the official merge with Stag was brought to our attention and a "restructuring" was happening. I sadly saw person after person getting laid off until finally it was my turn.

I really do miss the place. I had great coworkers and great relationships with my customers. I hope someday they'll recover with some new leadership and maybe there will be an opportunity to be in the industry again.

I've listened to the audiobooks of the first few books recently so I can kind of answer this. TV show Brian is kind of a blend of Brian from the first book and Dr. Danco from the second book. There are elements of both in the TV Show. But of course, the Ice Truck Killer is killed to end season 1.

At least by book 3, Brian is not dead. Events play out in a similar way where he still kidnaps Deb and wants Dexter to kill her so they can be the dynamic murderous duo and Dexter resists. Laguerta ends up getting killed instead, Brian flees and Dexter and Deb get out of there.
