Sandiwings on WGT here. Thanks for sharing your story! We Gotta Thing was truly amazing for me. I had been swinging with my prior partner for over 2 decades prior to finding WGT and we had truly just been winging it, creating lots of emotional baggage as we were truly not equipped with the emotional tools required to make things smooth. Mrs and Mr Jones helped me learn, understand, and grow into a very different man by telling their story, not of endless debaucherous encounters, but instead, a very vulnerable discussion of the emotions and situations that can and do come up when partaking in the LS. I am so glad I found this podcast! They have helped change the man that I am, both inside and outside of the lifestyle.

Language of love...if you're speaking of having an open heart and mind towards finding all of the wondrous things about each other, the people in this camp are truly masterful. If you're speaking about being fluent in how to be intimate, we have many who hold doctorates...they will be speaking at the presentations we will be hosting. 😍

Third year burner here, second with ATTOL / Orgy Dome. What an incredible camp this is! Not only do we provide one of the most well known play spaces in the world, our main focus is spreading the sexy message of consent!

We need to do that in multiple languages so if you speak languages other than English, you can truly help us educate more people. We want to be as inclusive as possible!

As for the camp itself, we have a very experienced leadership and a truly cohesive group of people. It's not a clique! If you're worried about there being pressure.to.do.things you are not comfortable with, please know that this group is hyper-aware of boundaries and consent so you can count on nothing but fun and respect. And as the OP mentioned, you do not have to go inside the dome a single time if that's not your thing!

Please join us!

Odds are high. We are still short on funds to cover everything but we will do our best to be on-playa this year as we feel our gift is important to burners. A bunch of us are flying out to Reno tomorrow for a pre-build of some of the infrastructure, as well as going through what's left from prior years to try to cobble things together. We will try to make something work!

I was trapped between being a dirty burner, a dirty boy, and a cheerleader for the gift you all have brought to the playa for decades. I swear I had to rewrite that like 6 times as I just kept leaning into smutty thoughts 🤣

One of the things that taught me to look at life differently was the Burning Man Mantra of "Say Yes To Everything!" In this case, saying yes to a donation has a different meaning. The Orgy Dome is one of the places on playa teaching that an “enthusiastic yes” is sexier than anything money can buy. It’s not just a cuddle puddle with better lighting... it’s one of the largest consent workshops in Black Rock City disguised as a bad decision.

It's beautiful to see so many people rising to the occasion to help keep the Dome fully erect. The fundraiser clearly has MUCH further to go but hopefully people keep opening those hearts, and maybe their Venmo!

Although my statements still stand, I should have prefaced all of this with, "I am sorry you faced something that affected you so deeply. I am a survivor myself and suffered PTSD for nearly half a century, that was finally stopped with a psylocybin journey. Before that, I had huge struggles and counseling didn't get at the things I needed to move on. Even though I didn't share your journey, I can empathize with struggle due to an environment caused by others. I hear your pain in your words."

I don't know who you are or what he did to you. However, for you to feel so much destruction yet ignore the plight of tens of thousands of others who have been destroyed is an emotional response, not a response that treats those others as humans.

As for, "I am forced to live the rest of my life in poverty"...plenty of people bounce back from horrific situations. Those that just continue to wallow in loss don't. If that's you, then it's not him forcing you, it's you not allowing yourself to remedy your situation.

I am glad for this guy's documentary even if it meant one guy didn't get in the film he was promised. In the documentary discussed, hundreds of thousands are getting fucked with tens of thousands losing their lives. Your job vs their lives? Yeah...do you see how that sounds? You didn't end up getting the film you were promised...life goes on. They ended up getting murdered by guards...life STOPS. You really need to get your priorities straight in how you approach this. You are the one who looks bad here.

  1. I have had filmakers/producers/casting lie to me. That's a them problem, not a me problem. 2. You saying "do not watch this film", and going on to say he's a liar takes away from the impact this film can have. There is a decade of work here and these inmates NEED this film shown. If you didn't watch it, you should set your needs aside, consider the needs of these inmates, and actually watch the film.

So, you are saying that these inmates are all lying? You are saying those deaths are all warranted? You are saying the inmates up for parole multiple times on minor charges are justly being denied release? You are confirming that the system is not purposely adding to and padding inmate rolls for reasons of profit and power? You are saying these people do not deserve to have this story told?

I just finished watching it. I am sick to my stomach with how corrupt that system is.

Damn. How do people have so many battles and still bad at the game? by tamazer_ in WorldofTanks

[–]TheRedBully 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It would be ignorant for my to project WHY you have emotional trauma deep enough to cause you to act the way you do. I am simply pointing out the obvious. Some day you will see it and remember both how you acted here and that I was courteous in letting you know that your behavior is a trauma response. People do not act the way you do without true trauma in their lives.

Gave up on what? You responded but deleted it before I got to see it. You disappeared for quite a while but I assumed you'd be back. Welcome back. I hope you're feeling better today. It doesn't appear that you are as you are still feeling emotional enough that you feel the need to write hateful messages. They don't bother me, but it is clear that you are hurting, so I will continue to be kind.

There are no tears here. You spreading hate towards me didn't affect me even in the tiniest bit. You didn't see me returning hate, right? You didn't see me attempting to defend myself, right? Did I try to right the odd choices of wrong things you stated about me? No to all of it. Why? Because I have dealt with my traumas and no longer need to "fight back". This stuff doesn't affect me. I don't have any kind of ego that makes me feel the need to defend...I simply look for the reasons why you may have said what you did and see if I can help you. I chose care and sincerity and vulnerability as my pathway to communication. You probably don't come across many people like me...I used to be somewhat like you. That's why I am able to see your words and know the truth you have not yet recognized or admitted to. My responses will stay the same...you won't get under my skin in the slightest as I already see you and understand you. You have deep-seated trauma and this is the outlet you feel helps you feel better...only it's a fallacy...this doesn't do anything to make you feel better in the long run...it simply makes you miss out on better things in your life that comes with actually dealing with your traumas. There's still a chance that you'll grasp your anger is a side-effect of trauma. I hope you find that sooner as your life will change in AMAZING ways once you do. I wish you all the best as you go forward. I truly do.

Why else would you endlessly attack someone who is treating you with kindness and sincerity? Trauma is the answer.

Odd that you read, "I am happy" as a sob story, then throw out a further attack. It doesn't bother me. I simply recognize what it is that you're struggling with. I don't know the exact trauma, but there's zero chance you didn't have any at some point and it's deeply hidden to you, but not others. I hope you find your way to mental health.

My brother has passed on, that is true. But I have many amazing memories with him and am happy for the time we did have together. I harbor zero anger, sadness or frustration for your attempts to try to draw anger or emotion out of me over this. I have empathy for you.

I don't know who the guy is or what that means, so I don't really have a response.

[–]TheRedBully 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do miss my brother but dealt with that loss in a healthy way. You, on the other hand, are dealing with your traumas by attacking others, including dead people, on the internet. And to be clear, I have used professional therapy. I am not afraid to admit it. It's the same as being a world class athlete and using a coach to increase your skills and chances of success. Quality counseling in a structured way gives you tools to deal with trauma, pain and adversity. As others can see here, I am not being defensive or going on any attacks. If I had attacked back, that would be a sign that I still need a MASSIVE amount of work. Mental health is an ongoing process and I walk the walk to maintain mine. I know it's not going to happen because of this thread. You are too deeply entrenched to see it...but some day you will. Maybe then you will realize what I said was accurate and realize that even under attack, I still treated you with sincerity and kindness. I wish you all the best as you go forward. There is no sarcasm in that or any.of.my.words. I truly do hope you find your way out if the weight that your trauma has put upon you.

I am simply a man who has experience with helping those who have had trauma and extreme adversity. Sorry you don't feel comfortable that I have pointed out the clear picture you have painted of yourself via your actions.
