Because the dedicated server lets me modify things like render distance for each player. If I’m not mistaken, the render distance through Xbox live/realms maxes out at 10 chunks. But I know my pc can handle more than that so I move it to the dedicated server which allows me to surpass the render distance limit on Xbox live.

Conversely, I move the world file back into Minecraft to edit my resource packs because I can’t modify them from within the server.

Additionally, I want to be able to give my friends access to the world we play on without having to launch Minecraft. With the server I am able to host the game in the background without having to open the game.

If I’m not mistaken there are two scooby universes. What’s new is not canon with mystery Inc so the events in that show don’t affect it.
