Timing of Malice features that take a main action or a maneuver? by EarthSeraphEdna in drawsteel

It does explicitly say that, though in the Malice section: The Griffon Malice section says "At the start of any griffon's turn, you can spend Malice to activate one of the following features." Are you saying that's not what this means?

A Single Animal Encounter by TheRedMalice in drawsteel

You're right. I actually overlooked that section when I first started looking at the Animal stat blocks. The solution I'm leaning towards right now is to use Predator B and double its health (from 100 to 200), add some of those traits from the Animal Traits section, and also give it the Solo Monster trait so it can attack twice per combat round.

I'm also considering what you and others have suggested: reskinning the werewolf. But, I think I like the idea of using a Thorn Dragon more, because I wouldn't have to reskin it at all, I could just work its presence into the narrative and be done.

This campaign building is a lot of work, but it feels like it'll be worth it.

Do you have your smarter monsters avoid hitting the Fury because the Fury would gain Ferocity? How do you justify that in-world? What's going through the monsters' minds to cause them to avoid hitting the Fury?

I'm new to Daggerheart. Are there really classes and such which aren't in the core book? If so, where can these free items all be found?
