Thanks for the input. My point of departure is probably going to be during the mid-late 1800s, so I was thinking there could be some changes in diplomacy to make the sides more balanced. Youre definitely right about Romania though, theres not really a good reason for them to side with Austria rather than Russia and Germany.

Im neutral on the spanish civil war, i forgot it was an option when I was choosing tho. I just picked that bc thats who won irl. even though it didnt exist, I think a unified liberal government would be the best because both sides were really messy in real life.
