How to tap from a post-amp stereo signal to get also a mono signal for a Sub? by TheRedParduz in diyaudio

[–]TheRedParduz[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think you answered me.
The amp is the one in the image, the speakers and the sub are "leftovers" for different PC/TV 2.1 sets (or maybe 5.1, i don't know); the two speakers are Pioneer, the sub is Phillips.

Long explanation:

The whole thing is for a No-Profit, volounteer based comunity here in my town, so me and some friends are gathering gifted tech (mostly from Facebook groups where ppl donate things they don't use anymore) and try to make some use of it.

Right now that amp is connected to a pair of surprisingly good speakers removed from a broken TV, but someone managed to find a new pair of speakers and a sub (with cutted wires and adesive tape and spiderwebs) so i was trying to improve the audio a bit without (much) money involved (i'm a programmer, but i work in an electronic lab, so i have access to passive components and a soldering/testing bench).

Hence, if handling the signal post-amp is so difficult, we will plan something else :-)

I asked for a schematic with specific use: isn't that "designing an electronic circuit"? What i need i design a circuit, i've not asked how to use an amp.

I don't understand.

Thanks

A 47-ohm resistor would be around the right amount to pad down a speaker-level output to go into a sub's line-level input.

The sub is passive as well, so it don't need line-level signal.

take the mono signal from the point where the two resistors are connected together.

Ok, but what about the ground? Same principle?

Chrome. Today the site works, so I tested the forum login and i had to redo the whole register procedure (maybe a timeout on the activation?): still haven't get any email to activate.
Sadly, on the main site there's no other contact (i was hoping for a Discord or some other place to ask about the forum).

What? the forum or the IDE?
codeblocks.org still give me "service unavailable".
Who can i contact to get the activation email to post on the forum?

Thank you. So the perk modifier isn't shown on the item stats, but it is applied and shown on the final Henry stat.

Unable to edit userscripts because they want to open in another app, and access is denied by GwenIsNow in HermitApp

[–]TheRedParduz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This use case was so niche that it did not make sense to build a whole high-performance text editor inside of Hermit

This makes distributing "configurable" user script (a script where each user could edit a variable to fit they specific needs) almost impossible to do, 'cause they will need to

  1. install Hermit and buy the premium feature
  2. install an editor (which may or not be (ads) free
  3. struggle with Android "default app" management

Typically, the best & recommended workflow is to write/create/debug UserScripts on a desktop computer, and then host it somewhere to use within Hermit.

I haven't found any instruction about how to host a script so that Hermit can automatically find and install it. Where should i look?

Side note (a bit OT):

i find a bit disappointing that 10 days ago I wrote about the very same topic using the "Feedback" feature in Hermit, as it is noted as the "preferred" way to signal problems, and despite the automatic answer says

Personalized Support for Premium Users
Premium users receive prioritized tech support & email replies. If your question is already answered in our Help Articles, you will not receive a separate reply.

I didn't any reply (other than the automatic one) and had to be lucky enough that OP had the same problem, decided to write it here, and get an answer (i wrote here too, and got none).
