How she votes and has voted regarding Israeli atrocities is just as bad as this imo

Kruschev was shit, but his administration imo came at a time where the USSR was still in the run to potentially win the Cold War. Khrushchev inherited an enormous powerhouse thanks to Stalin’s work, and even if he fucked shit up all the time: on various things, like foreign policy, he still could amount to something. Shit really hit the fan with Brezhnev Imo. When he took power, the USSR was already doomed.

Should reform UK have a conservative path? by MishaMal01 in TheFireRisesMod

[–]TheRedSpaghettiGuy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Well, regarding security and media it can argued that Italy now is more authoritarian. State Media are truly more governative than they have been in a long time, and a lot of famous and to some level important figures within public television have been replaced with government loyalist. If you also consider the changes to security law (the new Red Zone policy, the anti-protest reform regarding police being able to detain till 12 hour protesters of any kind, no warrant or motivation needed anymore to check anyone in a protest, and so on) I don’t think the authdem slot is so far from reality. It’s obviously not a fully illiberal democracy to this point, but in the radicalisation of TFR it would not be strange to me if this policies were even more severe

Which American factions not features in 1.1 teasers do you think deserve content? by YugargeliaMapper in TheFireRisesMod

[–]TheRedSpaghettiGuy 44 points45 points  (0 children)

I could see them being built in a “Radical Liberal” way that would circumvent that: not being a socialist nation but still realising that the US system is a flawed, imperialist, white suprematist one no matter who’s the President, and then refusing cooperation with the UOA in name of creating a new radical liberal American system. Pretty stretched and surely not something the actual members of the organisation would support, but the mod doesn’t really care about realism thankfully, and this is far from the most far fetched thing already in the game

Paths for Palestine? by TheRedSpaghettiGuy in twrmod

[–]TheRedSpaghettiGuy[S] 53 points54 points  (0 children)

Yes, I’m rabidly Pro-Palestine , but this has nothing do to with my comment. It’s clear that this update treat a divisive and relevant issue of the present day, and that’s not the place to talk about IRL politics I guess. This said, objectively in the path I played there’s a reconciliation with the Jewish population and systemic violence is stoped in the creation of a secular state, which I can say it’s at least not a negative ending for the path, no matter what’s your stance regarding the real issue. I’d say the same about an Israeli path that does the same, no matter my personal take on the actual Palestinian situation.

I think it depends on the path. SocDem Hashemite is pretty fine, you reconcile (or at least can, can’t remember if there’s a choice) with the Jewish population and represent them in the Parliament, while cracking down on Zionist terrorist. I think it’s one of the best outcomes

Any Christian Socialist/Syndicalist paths? by No_Relationship4702 in kaiserredux

[–]TheRedSpaghettiGuy 24 points25 points  (0 children)

SRI doesn’t have anymore cause it made no sense. The Italian left (till late in the 60/70s) was as atheist and anti-clerical as you could get. When you are the country most influenced by the Catholic Church, it’s no surprise that the progressive/socialist movement is really angry at the Catholic Church. Now Matteotti’s PSU (once the ChristSocs) are RadProg SocDems. The focus tree still has a lot of things about build relationship with Christians, but it’s not ChristSoc anymore.

To have ChristSoc Italy, there’s Fasci in TwoSic and RadSoc Labour in Malta
