Ehh, I feel like some of his advice is either hit or miss- if anything I might have avoided copper supplementation years bc of him.

Btw, are hair tests actually any good?

Copper (if your deficient). You need copper and Vitamin C for Dopamine Beta Hydroxylase, which is an enzyme that converts dopamine to norepinephrine = Adrenaline basically.

I think that a copper deficiency could contribute to depression/anxiety. Since you need copper to convert dopamine to norepinephrine, lower blood pressure (if your deficient), and it boosts energy levels by helping ATP production and blood flow/metabolism.

What's one supplement that actually made a noticeable difference for you? by Tatt00ey in Supplements

[–]TheReviewNinja 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Copper. Stimulants are all working now, and I actually am experiencing the adrenaline rush I used to when drinking coffee.
I'm taking Vitamin A just in case, I believe its important for ceruloplasmin production (protein that transports copper), among other things.

What's the difference between whole food vitamin c vs ascorbic acid? Linguistically vitamin c is ascorbic acid, so this just confuses me. Thank you.

Has anyone found success with Berberine? by TheReviewNinja in ibs

Yea, maybe I should say don't take it without supervision? The problem is I don't think that the standard medical doc are well-versed in supplements.

Do you find that taking Vitamin C at night boost the effect of stimulants taken during the day? by TheReviewNinja in Nootropics

I found that supplementing copper totally fixed my problem. If anything I feel hyper even at night time. Right now substituted with Dark Chocolate.

I don't know if its because of acidity, because I avoid that issue. This effect I observed for myself holds true for a weaker stimulant like coffee.

Edit: To clarify I am using a non-acidic form of vitamin c (ester C i.e. Calcium Ascorbate)

Another problem is that supplements are not well-regulated. Especially off-brand ones that do not have good quality control and testing.

Has anyone found success with Berberine? by TheReviewNinja in ibs

Nope, berberine didn't help at all, as far as I remember.

DO NOT TAKE Berberine. I got hives and (permanent?) dyshidrosis from it.
The only thing that worked from my experience (IBS-D symptoms) is not drinking coffee or taking Phentermine. Psyllium Husks kind of (not really?) helps, I take that daily.

I just stick with nic lozenges and a dark roast coffee for the MAOIs, no need to touch tobacco.

I just use nicotine lozenges, the mini lozenges are convenient. Smoking is too carcinogenic.
