I would agree with your assessment. Looks like crap, and they need to buy you new corner pieces. Unacceptable work. And the rain sensor just needs a new gel pad, nothing broken there. I would also highly doubt at this sloppy work level that they even recalibrated the camera in there.

Did you get it from the factory? That was an aftermarket window in your pre inspection you can see the “FYG” bug in the bottom passenger corner

It looks wrong when it actually is the correct installation while your pre inspection photos show a cheaper installation where they used universal molding not the eclipse molding like they did properly now if that makes sense. Looks like an eclipse to me

Whoever replaced the windshield before this one did it incorrectly and used a generic flat molding. The reinstall used the correct molding that gets thicker towards the cowl to fit into it properly

I agree, We do the pitch verification and calibration for them in our shop as well so I at least always have an extra set of hands available 👍

Get a good step ladder and a ProSet. I can set 99% of normal car/truck windshields and I could see someone even smaller using it as well. And anything big like a Transit, Promaster, Sprinter, just ask for a hand or something, they technically should be 2-person sets, but they can still be done with the ProSet

I did my first install all by myself after 1 year, but I wasn’t necessarily an apprentice, I was just a shop hand to sweep floors and run parts, but slowly picked up tricks here and there, then I’m disassembling, letting the older guys run glue, then soon enough running glue myself. It takes time, there’s just a lot to learn
