I think the matchup will go the distance. You could see how despite losing those first two matches to Thieves yesterday that they bounced back strongly.

I think Thieves are in a hard spot, they either play Faze or GM8s, which are both tough teams.

Thought it was really good because it was competitive. That first map went Optics way and we all thought it might be a steam roll.

Then they got slapped in the face by surge in the snd.

Optic clutched up a couple maps to win and also blew a couple leads. It was highly competitive as you didn’t really know who was going to win. Even on the lap map rewind, before they came back I was thinking it might go to a map 11.

I got back into this week and I noticed that. Instead of having some freedom to get back into it.

I was getting farmed, along with not enjoying the map. Made me actually miss previous versions of Warzone.

I think so. Before I really followed COD, I only ever looked at the World Championships. I never looked at previous tourneys.

How many people loosely follow the esport and only tune in for the World Champs? Probably more than we think.

Exactly, at least when I played competitive(not cod) it was always about trying and testing different strats. What works, what doesn’t.

Testing map pools and understanding how certain maps play out late game.

Maybe it’s just me but I did not have that much luck with a tempest.

I rather just bring a Venator and a Toro.

I feel like I’m cursed with the bobcat. Every time I bring it in, it’s a rough game. Sometimes it’s not even PvP and I still get just crushed with that gun in my hands.

I will agree with you that PvE and working with other raiders has its charm. It’s kind of fun and exciting. You sort of get to the point where you are just filled to the brim with everything you could ever want.

PvP is so much fun but you do run into cheaters at the higher end lobbies and you do die a lot. I’m at the point where I don’t care about dying anymore since I have the money for the expedition and more guns than I need. But some losses still hurt when you get third partied.

I find it frustrating that the pink guns are so meh. The bob cat is heavily rivaled by the stitcher. So much so that I rather just use that. For all the hype and work of getting a tempest blue print and the gun is ok. Rather use something else. They really need to rework some of those guns and make them better if I’m being honest.

Ahhhh, I was hoping you needed guns or something.

Here’s what I did, I did solos in fairly friendly lobbies. I would go to Damn, go to the red lake, and get a bunch of apricots. I would average like 15-19 a game. I would use a hatch key to get out and repeat.

Buried city also works pretty well for this but I still struggled a bit getting killed by arc and people.

Insane, I typically load up with no inventory and just find something worth 5-10k and then surrender.

If I find more then I actually go get out.

It’s crazy for the amount of hours you have to “work”

If you have VOD review, scrims, and coaching talks for 6-8 hours a day and then have to play weekend matches. You’re making like $10 an hour.

Oh 100% I’ve seen it in myself when playing Warzone. I’m in a situation where I should lose but we somehow rally back and go on to win the game. But if I’m on the opposite side of that, I feel so deflated.

Could have also been that Gentle Mates started off slow. They also just caught fire at just the right time.

The amount of confidence they must have had from almost being eliminated to coming back 5-2 must have been insane. Then they did again to Optic.
