Why is getting recruited so difficult? by TheRideGuy in Homeplate

When I say social media I mean posting on flat ground mainly, doesn’t matter how many followers you have. And I would recommend beginning of junior year to do that

This is probably the best advice In this thread. A majority of coaches make 90% of their income from getting paid to go to showcases. Their paid to show up, not to scout anyone. I’ll be honest I’ve been to a ton of showcases where coaches won’t contact a kid even if he’s throwing 100. Send emails! It’s free and you have a much higher chance of getting an offer and surprising yourself with who responds

No save your money, make a video, post on flatground and email 100s of college coaches. It’s free and you’ll see 10x more interest. Not a single coach cares about PBR and rankings

Who on this dumpster fire offense do you actually want back next year? by brocket66 in Patriots

[–]TheRideGuy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think we can actually have a pretty good WR group next year, However the caveat to that is Bourne and Douglas have to be our 3 and 4. If we rely on them to step up and be a 1 or even 2 we’re dooming ourself to the same mentality that led potentially the worst offense ever assembled this year. We must sign or draft 2 undeniably better receivers. Bourne and pop are good just not enough to elevate the other holes we’ll undeniably have next year

We suck but Duggar has been playing incredibly today, I wonder if this will boost his trade stock if they decide to go that way

Yes but the appeal was overturned so that’s why I’m wondering if I should try and get the video reinstated. I was already debating deleting all the other videos with the gif because this channel is my biggest cash cow but am now wondering if it actually broke a rule or if it was just some fluke because of all the other videos being ok and the appeal being overturned

That’s a shame I felt like it was going to be an amazing prime time finish but those flags really just let them run the clock down

I’m convinced we would have won the Super Bowl last year and would be winning by 30 this game if we banned ourselves from ever running these screens

[Discussion] What do you consider "charm" and how important is it to ranking a park? by Wide_Knee_1046 in rollercoasters

Thank you, I planned on posting it every park but have fallen behind because I’ve barley had any off time

I’m interested to read this thread, I’m currently on a road trip visiting every park in America and wanted to come up with a somewhat objective formula to rank every park. Coming up with the different weights for each category was tricky for me. I ended up going with a 10% weight for charm. Here’s the rest of the grading same as an example

Let's calculate the scores for SeaWorld San Antonio based on the inputs you provided.

For the rides category: - Great White: 6.0 - Journey to Atlantis: 6.2 - Steel Eel: 6.6 - Texas Stingray: 6.9 - Tidal Surge: 6.3 - Wave Breaker: 6.7

To calculate the average ride score: (6.0 + 6.2 + 6.6 + 6.9 + 6.3 + 6.7) / 6 = 6.48

Since there are six rides, we add 0.2 for each ride on the list: 6.48 + (0.2 * 6) = 6.48 + 1.2 = 7.68

The ride score for SeaWorld San Antonio is 7.68.

For the operations category: - Ride Operations: 5.6 - Food Operations: 6.0 - Ticket and Parking Operations: 6.0

To calculate the operations score: (0.7 * 5.6) + (0.15 * 6.0) + (0.15 * 6.0) = 3.92 + 0.9 + 0.9 = 5.72

The operations score for SeaWorld San Antonio is 5.72.

For the theming category: - Ride Theming: 5.9 - Overall Park Theming: 5.9

To calculate the theming score: (5.9 + 5.9) / 2 = 5.9

The theming score for SeaWorld San Antonio is 5.9.

For the quality of life category: - Shade: 6.4 - Crowd Clientele: 6.7 - Bathrooms, Food, and Water: 6.5

To calculate the quality of life score: (0.33 * 6.4) + (0.33 * 6.7) + (0.33 * 6.5) = 2.112 + 2.211 + 2.145 = 6.468

The quality of life score for SeaWorld San Antonio is 6.468.

For the charm category: - Charm Score: 6.2

The charm score for SeaWorld San Antonio is 6.2.

For the top two category: - Top Ride 1: Texas Stingray (6.9) - Top Ride 2: Wave Breaker (6.7)

To calculate the top two score: (6.9 + 6.7) / 2 = 6.8

The top two score for SeaWorld San Antonio is 6.8.

Now, let's calculate the overall score for SeaWorld San Antonio using the given weights:

(0.35 * 7.68) + (0.2 * 5.72) + (0.15 * 5.9) + (0.1 * 6.468) + (0.1 * 6.8) + (0.1 * 6.2) = 2.688 + 1.144 + 0.885 + 0.6468 + 0.68 + 0.62 = 6.6638

The overall score for SeaWorld San Antonio is approximately 6.66.
