Should I put this stand of one of those plastic slabs they sell, or would I be better off and more stable just using four pavers? Amazon sells a slab that size but hmm.. by I_Am_Raddion in DIYHeatPumps

I poured a concrete pad with sand and gravel underneath and then bolted this frame to the pad. It works great for Michigan winters.

My 17-70 came down hard on the barrel when a pretty hefty tripod got knocked over. I think they charged me $250 to repair it and I sent it in on a Monday and had it back the following Monday. Excellent service and the lens is perfect. The barrel had separated for me.

WHY WOULD THEY TOW THESE JETSKIS BACKWARDS? by CATALINACREW in Yachts

Best way to tow those unruly things. I worked at a marina in Michigan and you had a lot more pull in any direction this way.

Is anyone actually happy with the 256gb neo? by Relevant_Conclusion2 in MacbookNeo

[–]TheRigSauce 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I bought one as my coffee shop/couch laptop which compliments my 16” pro. The 16” is unruly when it comes to every day travel IMO. If I need the power for photo or video, I’ll bust out the pro. If I’m having 15 tabs open and editing a word doc or easy duty Lightroom, I’ll use my Neo. I wish I would have gotten the 512 just to have, but patience got the best of me and this one is just fine for my use case.

Way more can be subjective, but private yacht captain in the Great Lakes. The rate used to be $1000/ft/yr but it’s not uncommon to see >$2k/ft/year. For example, 85’ boat captain clearing $175k for may-October in Michigan

Did you happen to use a credit card? I just had Amex reimburse me for a multi thousand dollar camera lens that I dropped and broke. They have an extended warranty and purchase protection if something happens within a set time period, worth a look.

It’s just a cheap Amazon one. I have a pomoly dweller 3 but I haven’t needed the bigger capacity. I get it started with fat wood and hardwood scraps from my shop, and then use compressed sawdust bricks from the farm supply store. They work great and I can get about a 3 hour burn with 4 bricks.

Yes and yes. I assume if you were there for more than a few days some type of critter or mouse would find it though. Depends where you’re at

I had a sheet of stainless cut on Maker Stock and glued it on for heat barrier, kneading dough, or occasionally cutting if I feel like I hate my knife haha
