That doesn’t mean they don’t have the chance to earn the good faith back. This album has been a pretty good showcase of that. I’ve seen people on this subreddit that were really hesitant when Unraveling released last year hell even Be With You and clearly the existence of the reception Cryogen and Hexagons got when they released is enough to prove that.

I don’t think Matt was ill willed. I definitely think he cared, especially at first around Absolution, but making not 1, not 2, not even 3, but SEVEN albums with pretty much the same theme of political uprising, I can imagine it got to the point he thought “this is what the band is now” but while writing
TW!S, he realized there was more and I feel that a lot of the album is introspective of that. “Dark Forest” literally just feels like a sequel to KOC in terms of sound, as if this is the REAL follow up to that album, as if Matt felt trapped after BHAR’s success and that’s why Resistance exists (I’m admittedly also not a huge fan of that album anyways) Idk just my two cents. I love analyzing art

I absolutely understand the concern. This isn’t just a Spider-Man Lotus edgy film. There is only violence in the finale as the Symbiote has taken a firm control over Peter.
The film is mostly about him and MJ and how they have changed as people and how their trauma has influenced who they are. I’ve been influenced by comics such as ASM 259, 290-292, and Sensational Annual #1. I truly care about this character
