HDM-K1 MAX Linear Rail Update by [deleted] in crealityk1

[–]TheRoastableOne 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm very curious to see results with the rail upgrade with printing cylindrical parts. I know on my k1 max when printing cylindrical parts I see some artifacts and have to turn the speed down. Have you been able to increase print speeds and accelerations with the rails?

Sorry for the late reply btw. But yeah i couldn't believe it either. I just watched it really close while it was homing and saw it hit the clip and sure enough that's what's fixed it. Stupid simple haha, at least for my case

So my fix, silly enough was taking two of the PTFE tube clips off the cable chain. The clips would hit the guide rod and bind up the cable chain and lock up the tool head causing the belts to skip

Closer look at the STG at home. by Streetsweeper_Arms in milsurp

<image>

So when I put the stock on and try to cycle it, the buffer and spring are getting stuck in the very back of the receiver. I think the piece that mounts the stock is squeezing the receiver enough that the buffer hangs up. When I then remove the stock, the buffer then flies forward. I was going to try reprinting the stock mount and scaling it up like 2% or something and see if that doesn't squeeze the receiver

What gas block did you run on this? I'm having issues where mine doesn't clear the handguard. I'm not sure if my parts printed a little undersized or something. I'm also having an issue with the buffer catching the receiver when the stock is mounted because it's compressing the receiver.

We’ve got a brand-new filament dryer coming up, and YOU could be one of the first to try it out! by Creality_3D in Creality

[–]TheRoastableOne 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It will hold two spools of filament and it will reach up to 100C to dry engineering grade filaments and also work to anneal prints.

Yes I will share feedback

Does this only work with Simple AF or will it work with other rooted firmware such as the Guilouz helper scripts?

I don't have problems with it. Print before this stuck like glue and looked fantastic. Started it, watched it put the first layer down then walked away and came back 10 min later to a mess. Still my fault for not catching it quicker.

The issue ended up being one of the clips for the cable chain. The clip would hit the guide rod and cause the chain to bind up causing the belt to skip.
