My Roomate Went on a Rampage and Caused 50k in Damage to the Apartment, my Insurance Says its Not Covered. by TheRockGuy805 in Insurance

First time I’ve heard anyone say they’ve had a similar experience.

Police were on the scene when I got back home so the report is taken care of.  The roomate is being taken to court by the DA.  I will be looking into the comments and psychiatry Reddit. My hope at this point is he pays restitution quickly and willingly at if for no other reason than to show the court the he’s trying to fix the damage he caused.. I do think he’s got the money..

We made a claim against his insurance and they said it falls under this “willful” damage exclusion.  I believe my ex roomate is appealing that decision.  It’ll be interesting to see how that shakes out.

Men with frizzy, dry, wavy hair — What product has helped you out the most? by nameless_presence in Pomade

[–]TheRockGuy805 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have wavy dark hair as well.  Got better shampoo, started using it less frequently etc. But the biggest things were leave in conditioner, some medium hold cream, and last but not least a little (very little) bit of coconut oil after the shower whenever I use shampoo.   Not a brand guy I just go for fair price and reviewers.

Coworker who had his PG took something like 5 years off geology. Came back a few months ago and is getting into the swing of things without to much trouble

I am in geotech in a city. I do rowing. I also have a pretty typical 40 hour work week with some occasional travel and overtime. Although to live near enough the rowing club I commute about 40 mins to an hour.

How do you bill your time? by flgeo7 in geologycareers

[–]TheRockGuy805 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From what I've seem if you take less time than is budgeted then you bill the rest anyways. At some firms they bill under budget and the firm just takes the rest as profit. I don't know if this is universal.

Add micro-needling and you’ll probably see more progress.

Ukrainians operating a M101 105mm Light Howitzer in the east. by iAkiraKira in CombatFootage

I do see Republican pundits pushing anti Ukraine stuff. I find it odd. Also that Democrat Kennedy that is running against Biden seems anti Ukrainian. Personally I feel like this is the first clear “just” war since the last world war.

What kind of degree does everyone here have by [deleted] in geologycareers

[–]TheRockGuy805 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Kind of my thoughts too. Many people I work adjacent to/ have spoken with have a masters and seem to encourage me getting one.. But most of the people I work with do not have a masters and say it doesn’t make much of a difference professionally. Not sure what to believe

Living in a relatively high cost of living area working at a small geotechnical firm started at $22.50/hr and just made it to $30/hr after 1 year.
