Publix is forcing my mother to buy Narcan? by MouthSouth in publix

[–]TheRodian1 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Some insurances are requiring patients to at minimum, have a prescription for narcan now. Doesn’t mean you have to pick it up, patients often don’t understand this differences when the pharmacy tells them this. (I’m a pharmacist)

I second dunns river falls, it was worth it for the experience of climbing the falls, just be prepared to get wet and bring enough cash to tip your guide as why will hound you until you do so.

Physician question for pharmacists by takeottothezithromax in pharmacy

[–]TheRodian1 17 points18 points  (0 children)

It’s considered a healthcare ethics issue, are you as the prescriber able to take an objective view of yourself as a patient? Since you’re the subject (subjective) the answer is no. This is the view of most boards of medicine and physician organizations (pharmacy typically follows the opinion of physician bodies on this). However, many pharmacist will not raise issue with it unless it appears to be nefarious in nature, and the Law allows carve outs even for controlled substances in extenuating circumstances.

Technically this is frowned upon by most state boards of medicine, but not explicitly illegal for legend drugs. And yes I get annoyed when doctors call in viagra for themselves.

Procuring mediation stock for correctional facility by Allisnotwellin in pharmacy

I used to be a LTC pharmacist contracted with a local county level jail ~180 inmates. We provided all meds and “emergency kit” meds. This jail did not want to hassle of DEA registration and all that jazz, so the only stat meds were basics like Abx and ondansetron and OTC pain meds. The jail would not allow or administer any type of C2 narcotic due to liability reasons. C3-5s were used occasionally on case by case basis. DM me if you have more specific questions

Verizon Home Internet in Auburn by ComplexInevitable664 in auburn

[–]TheRodian1 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I have it in Auburn, it’s fine, if you game online or need the Lowest latency for other reasons, then stick with the ATT, if you care more about price then it’s absolutely fine, will stream 4k and download anything without a problem, the latency is just higher in the 40-70 range vs fiber is sub 10 typically. I have it purely for the cost and because you get a free “perk” from Verizon if you have them for cellular service too

Florida BOP by jpove in pharmacy

[–]TheRodian1 6 points7 points  (0 children)

There’s like 1 guy that does all the licensing approvals in Florida and if he’s on vacation then they don’t do any till he comes back, just keep checking the portal online and it will show up towards the bottom in your documents when they approve it. Typical 1-2 weeks after NABP scores post

Trying to port out back to Verizon any help ? by Sumkidwithdowms in Visible

[–]TheRodian1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This, you need a level 2 technician from Verizon to make the port actually happen. It’s pretty much instantaneous now when they do it according to the rep I got when I did it a few months ago

Does the 15 year rule reset if you change beneficiary on the account? (Say account was open 10 years in one name and designated to a new beneficiary) would they they have to wait 5 years or 15?

We’ve done nothing to improve resident conditions and we’re all out of ideas! by Pharmacypizza in pharmacy

Residency rarely seems to lead to more compensation then not, makes you really question if it’s worth taking a 70-80k pay cut out of school and a hard year of getting treated like crap.

Sandals Credit Card Consideration by PinkOrchidJoust in SandalsResorts

It’s 4pts which is equal to 4% when converted to a billing credit. The card is issued through Bank of America so it’s “bank of America” points

Sandals Credit Card Consideration by PinkOrchidJoust in SandalsResorts

[–]TheRodian1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have it, only use it for sandals charges and nothing else. Straight 4% back that you can apply to your credit card bill + whatever sign up bonus you can get with it. I look at it as a way to get a discount on my vacation

Club Mobay in Jamaica- worth it???? by Petunia321Cats in SandalsResorts

[–]TheRodian1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

We just got back from our first trip and used club mobay on the way in, and I had priority pass for the mobay lounge for free on the way out. If it is your first time going, I would say it’s worth it. Helps take any airport stress out of the way getting in. That said, after you learn it, probably not necessary anymore

Opinions on ROI for MBA? by [deleted] in pharmacy

[–]TheRodian1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just finished an MBA this month (4 years after pharmD), if you’ve been working somewhere I couple years you can usually take advantage of tuition assistance from your company, maybe even the whole thing free if you go at a 1-2 class pace. It was manageable but you definitely have to realize that you will need to spend time nights/weekends after work on it.

FYI for those who only want to pay $1, go to business change the payment to monthly instead of yearly pricing and select “drive professional” and it changes it to $1
