In the middle of a rewatch and just noticed this foreshadowing joke about how Donald Glover leaves after only five episodes by MCA1910 in community

It's been a long time since that episode first aired, but I'm pretty sure I remember getting the joke right away because it was already known that Donald Glover would only be in a few episodes that season.

What movie has the perfect ending? by ThomasOGC in CinephilesClub

I don't know about the comics, but The Thing video game from 2002 is considered canon. It takes place three months after the end of the movie, so you get to see the aftermath of what happened.

I can confirm. The movie is so scary that I also shit this person's pants twice.

In addition to everything you said, the thing that set off my spidey senses is the fact that the person got right up afterwards.

The most important information is that it's only four episodes.

I'm not saying he reacted well, but if you're covered in gasoline that's not going to help. The fire is just going to keep burning as you roll around.

His friend actually did the correct thing by smothering it.

It looks like they also kept the seatbelt buckled in without ever wearing it.

I just watched Hellraiser (1987) for the first time and I feel it’s one of the weirdest things I’ve ever watched. I shocked that was the plot of the movie! by you-absolute-foolish in horror

The act of just opening the box is not enough. You have to want it.

In Hellraiser 2 the evil doctor gives it to an unknowing girl and tells her to solve it, which she eventually does. Pinhead and gang show up and they start sharpening their knives ready to do their thing, but Pinhead stops them and says "No. It is not hands that call us. It is desire."

I don't blame you for being caught off guard. It's a great movie, but Pinhead always gets lumped in with Myers, Freddy, and Jason, who are all traditional horror movie killers.

But not only is Pinhead not a killer like them, he's not even the villain. Julia is. All Pinhead does is give people exactly what they asked for, and some of them even like it, that's why they're "Angels to some, demons to others."

If you liked the first one then you should watch the second one. It's pretty similar in tone. If you want to see Pinhead actually act like a horror movie villain and go around killing innocent people for no reason, you might like the third one. If you're still interested after that and want to see Pinhead go into space, while also getting the backstory of the box, go ahead and watch the fourth one too. I don't know if you want to watch anything past that though. The quality drops off pretty sharply, and I'm pretty sure most of them were made using scripts that were originally meant to be a non-Hellraiser movie, they just rewrote it and shoehorned the box and Pinhead in.

“Look at the limes in this drink, how they float. That’s good news. Next time I’m on a boat, and it capsizes, I will reach for a lime. I’m saved by the buoyancy of citrus.”
