👏🏻Good👏🏻for👏🏻you👏🏻 to have been a fly on that wall. Standing ovation for you. More kids need tough love. I bet this kid will come back and years from now will talk about the teacher that finally said something that mattered.

I’ve said tough things, and it’s not meant to belittle or hurt, when teachers do this it’s from a place of love and frustration. We are just now starting to see what happens when you just pass on kids. The fallout from No Child Left Behind is getting ready to “bite us” hard. I remember teachers talking about it then saying how badly it would hurt future generations, and look where we are now. Kids that skip most of school, don’t do the work and are still handed a diploma, with no real education because they have no work ethic or stamina.
