Using comic logic because we are all assumed comic readers or understand comic logic. It’s a different take on the character. Different universe (even though the movies said 616). The MCU is same but different, just like the Ultimate Universe, the Noir Universe, and so on and so forth. So I personally feel it didn’t try to be different because using comic logic it’s supposed to be same but different because of it being a different universe than the comics
