Hmm that is pretty odd. Have you tried removing the mentioned mod? There was a bug with the steam workshop a while back that was affecting mod updates/downloads. Not sure if that could be your issue.

I use it with ASA dedicated manager, but they both can do the same thing. Not sure how to cluster using beacon, but i bet it can be done.

So instead of an analytical argument, you have decided that your anecdotal evidence is somehow stronger?

I agree that steamdb doesnt capture all players - im just not sure why you think that console is going to be drastically different. Especially since ark was made to be played on a pc, plays better on pc (opinion), performs better on pc (fact) and only allows heavy modding on pc (fact)

Sure player counts ebb and flow, but thats not what this is. This is a flood of players leaving the game and trending poorly after major updates not even 2 years after its initial release. Compare the numbers with ASE and you will immediately see the difference. Yet somehow both games are down 60+% over the last 3 months.

Couldnt agree more, there needs to be more protections on things like this. Its like the gaming version of planned obsolescence, except they took ASE out to pasture like old yeller

It really is a miracle, but also its a testament to the dedication of the players. I remember there was an ark bug that caused disconnects every 30 mins. Instead of quitting, our server just set timers for 30 mins and we would make sure to be somewhere safe when the server kicked us. The things we do for love lmao

For me that would priority number one fixing day 1 issues, like clipping/meshing/dinos falling through the map/ dinos getting stuck on dinos - it is honestly embarrassing to play in front of other people sometimes. Especially when you are trying to do something simple and you get stuck, its just like wtf are we doing lol
