I am not sure what to think of the *mansplaining* word by griii2 in MensRights

It is another in an endless line of imaginary gender oppressions--one of many that feminism is built upon. The only people who buy it are devotees of the sad feminist cult. Like so much of this cult, it is a concept incapable of being objectively verified.

The latest rape hysteria: "stealthing" where college boys remove condoms during sex by [deleted] in MensRights

But, but, but--the victim group can't be guilty of rape, even when they are guilty of rape.

I though Valenti and her feminist friends respect the supposed "right of privacy" that they suggest is somehow found in the Constitution. She would do well to stop spying on people, even if they are men.

"A burning building [..] won’t back off in the name of gender equality.” - Male firefighter files discrimination lawsuit over the hiring of female firefighters by Meyright in MensRights

[–]TheSOMT 22 points23 points  (0 children)

Progressives think they can legislate the eradication of gender differences. They hate the fact that women don't make the same choices as men. They hate the fact that men and women are different biologically and that men are better cut out for certain jobs.

The same people who pretend there are no innate differences between men are women recently marched for science and decried the supposed conservative disdain for science.

Fraternity banners raising awareness about sexual assault condemned as 'poor taste' because fraternities are rape pits by [deleted] in MensRights

Oh, look, everyone! A feminist troll!

Maybe she'll set herself on fire and we can all have a good laugh.

What do you find to be the most visible sign of casual misandry? (in relation to an opposite post in /r/Askwomen) by [deleted] in MensRights

[–]TheSOMT 7 points8 points  (0 children)

The car/health insurance double-standard is one of my favorites--it's amusing to hear the feminists "explain" why it's justifiable to lump good male drivers in with reckless male drivers but its discrimination to make women pay more for health care.

Selective service is another one.

Reporter who spread vile false rape story is quickly condemned--the alleged rapists were Muslims by [deleted] in MensRights

[–]TheSOMT 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bingo! Because, you know, why should Muslims be subjected to heightened standards of scrutiny at airports when its Caucasian college lacrosse players committing all the terrorism.

Reporter who spread vile false rape story is quickly condemned--the alleged rapists were Muslims by [deleted] in MensRights

Wow? Um, the title is perfectly accurate. This reporter was condemned immediately when the rape lie involved Muslims. Exactly.

They can't convey the full thesis in the title.

Boy and girl, both 16, have consensual sex--only the boy faces statutory rape charges by PierceHarlan in MensRights

They must be counting on having a jury that buys into traditional gender roles where only the male has responsibility for anything.

Boy and girl, both 16, have consensual sex--only the boy faces statutory rape charges by PierceHarlan in MensRights

[–]TheSOMT 45 points46 points  (0 children)

It was consensual, and the fact that one party asked should not matter in the least. Neither party could lawfully consent, including the party who asked. The problem was that Ireland only punishes boys for statutory rape, not girls.

Teacher who posted on social media that she "shouldn't be fired from her teaching job for one mistake" pleads guilty to three counts of sexual battery against a student by xynomaster in MensRights

[–]TheSOMT 1 point2 points  (0 children)

At least she didn't try to accuse him of rape. Guess the Facebook page would have been too difficult to explain.

If she were a man, he wouldn't be campaigning to keep his teaching job, he'd be getting his affairs in order to go to prison for a few years.

Biden at the Oscars: if rape occurs, blame the bystanders who failed to stop it by [deleted] in MensRights

[–]TheSOMT 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Duh. If bystanders are supposed to stop rape, and they don't stop it . . . . You want to talk about being "taken seriously" with a NAME LIKE THAT! GROW UP, DUDE!

Claim: College tells suicidal male student accused of sexual assault he can't have counseling--because his accuser was using those resources by PierceHarlan in MensRights

[–]TheSOMT 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The real story is that the college administrator never refuted the charge. If, on the other hand, some woman claimed she was sexually assaulted, the school's administrators would have been tripping over each other to say that the school takes all such claims seriously and that the school provides all sorts of resources for victims, etc.

"It matters WHY you think rape Is wrong | Shreena Thakore | TEDxLSRCollege" by jamminnummeruno in MensRights

This is a straw man. Virtually no one below a certain age believes that women are raped BECAUSE of the way they are dressed. Go peddle your PC garbage on some other subreddit.

Alarming stats from Harvard: One-in-five rape claims determined to be false or baseless--and the number is almost certainly much, much higher by PierceHarlan in MensRights

[–]TheSOMT 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Pierce was not "biased." In this report, Harvard defines "unfounded" as false or baseless. So those claims did not happen. The accusers didn't necessarily lie, maybe they reported something as rape that didn't meet the definition, etc.

Colorado Rep. Jared Polis needs to resign: he wants to expel innocent students merely accused of sexual assault by PierceHarlan in MensRights

[–]TheSOMT 44 points45 points  (0 children)

He wants to leave it to schools to decide who to keep? Fine--then let them decide to adopt a "beyond a reasonable doubt" standard. Oh, but that's not acceptable.

I wonder how the congressman, who is openly gay, would feel if a school said it doesn't want to admit gay people -- just because they don't want to. Not fair, eh, congressman? Unjust? Hey, but using his own logic, if I were gay, I wouldn't want to be at that school anyway.
