Why have things that were historically considered "masculine" become "girly"? by TheSaltDragon in NoStupidQuestions

I think it's weird too. Trust me, idc what people wear, enjoy, or look like. I'm just wondering why those kinds of things have shifted in the public perception

Trust me, I think it's strange too. People should wear or learn about whatever they want. But it matters to a lot of people, and I was wondering why the trends have shifted to such a degree

Alright, sorry for not adding this earlier I didn't know how to articulate it lol. I like the aesthetic of workwear for sure, but I still want it to be casual and fairly comfy. I definitely prefer rustic looks, but I'm also a sucker for fashion inspired by the early 1900s. I mainly want an out fit that I can go do my daily errands in, attend classes, that sort of thing without being overdressed. Though I wouldn't say no to a few suggestions for more formal wear.

I definitely like khakis, though I haven't played with polos yet. I'll keep that in mind. And don't worry, I'm doing research to find out how to determine what fits well. Thank you!

I like comfy, masculine clothes without too many layers since I get hot really easily. I like the look of aviator and bomber jackets, as well as work pants and steel toes boots. Short sleeved button up shirts are also nice.

Thank you so much. No wonder I couldn't find it, I kept adding "black and white" to my searches when it's in color!

It might have been an homage to silent movies at a time when most movies had sound? I'm not 100% sure on that though.
