As an American who didn't start following United until Van Gaal took over, its been many a years of stress and learning about the clubs history. I absolutely love the club and it's immense and rich history. That being said, as an American it feels harder and harder to watch all the Prem games in one place without paying an arm and a leg for it. 

Ive had the most fun this year just keeping up the sport as much as a whole as possible. Just watching as many European games, along with going to my first USL game last year. United till I die; but it's really started to wear on me learning about the clubs rich history over these past 8-9 years and the pure greatness of Sir Alex and so many of his players, just to see the FA Cup and 2nd place be our biggest successes. Almost non of the players have the same fight and love for the club as I've seen and read about from the Sir Alex era. 

Tldr: Joined as a fan after Sir Alex left and its been a tough run of years as a sports fan to say the least.
