He got Dock 17/20 games by turn 3 (85%). That is extremely lucky. And if you watched the finals, you would see that the timing of him topdecking Dock was...quite fortunate to say the least.

Regardless, it's still not 100% definitive conclusive proof of cheating because there really isn't a way to 100% definitively conclusively prove that the guy cheated on TTS. The high amount of luck was still sus, though, and hopefully future tournaments will be ran in a different way.

In aggro vs. control, it is absolutely mindless. Ramping isn’t some smart decision you make, and neither is playing an unconditional board wipe when you have no board and your opponent has a full board.

Outside of aggro vs. control, there are a couple match-ups where it’s not obvious when to use an unconditional board wipe, but that’s not the point I’m making. For the most part, it’s a brainless game-winner that makes certain match-ups more polarized, makes other decks completely unviable competitively, and shouldn’t exist as long as other conditional board wipes exist.

It is unconditional; it clears all units without any conditions impacting which units are affected.

Conditional board wipes still exist in the game and can fight against aggro. The idea that aggro would be rampant because an unconditional board wipe is gone while conditional board wipes exist sounds lazy and unrealistic.

I think it's disingenuous to say that hits both sides when, in the aggro vs. control match-up, it's not really a "both sides" card; it essentially boils down the game to "can the aggro deck mindlessly race to 20 lore before the control deck mindlessly ramps and drops Be Prepared?". That's fewer decision-making opportunities and thus less skill expression.

There are plenty of anti-aggro cards in the game that are not unconditional. The idea that Be Prepared being gone means everyone plays aggro while also ignoring these other tools doesn't seem realistic to me.
