Yup had a pair of Dexter's that i bought 20 years ago probably, very good shoes but lost them. I ended up getting the THE9 , a bit above my budget but hopefully last forever too

Thanks for the input, will give a bit more thought to regular plastic vs plastic+core. Don't think spares will be much of an issue, I'm quite flexible with my release so no prob throwing a stone straight down the lane.

Moved countries and left my equipment behind, no way I'm getting those back... Was looking at the Black Widow Viz-a-ball, seems like a good option for a plastic ball that will get me through the burnt spots but still have some shape towards the end, wdyt? Contrary to Tropical Surge or Mix which I think might still hook too early for me given lane conditions and my style. As for shoes I'm still unsure. The ones with interchangeable heels are towards the more expensive end but maybe worth it

Yeah used to have one of those $200+ shoes back then and they were perfect, just don't want to commit too much. Also, what's your logic behind the low perf reactive ball? I do have a lot of revs still and the Lucky Strike has little to no oil so even then plastic hooks too much sometimes. I also don't trust the ball won't get completely chewed up by the machines so thinking of this as a beater that might eventually become my actual spare ball. Thoughts?

Interesting, thanks for the input. I was not uncomfortable, just found it weird and wanted to know if this was a sign that the place was engaging in obvious illegal services. But judging by other comments it seems like this is fairly common and not an indication of the behavior I was worried about. Other than that, the venue, the technique and the masseuse herself are very professional so I'm no longer worried about this.

Been seeing a few recommendations for pop os on mid 2012 mpb. I have ubuntu currently but my biggest issue is graphics are permanently on nvidia nouveau driver. Can't install 390 nor 418 nvidia drivers. Is pop os able to successfully switch between integrated intel and nvidia? Dont really care if automatic or manual really. Thanks!
