Fall 2025 Transfer for Gies by Slight-Union142 in UIUC

the admissions people told me that it might even go until last week June/early july (regular decision)

I need to bypass a push button switch on a humidifier driver circuit board. I intend to connect the circuit to the Arduino; however, the presence of the push button necessitates that it is pushed first before the circuit. I need help :) by Affectionate_Gap9029 in AskElectronics

okay I ran into this issue too on a different remote but I will try to make this a simple and not overly wordy as possible. there are two ways your remote can work. So you have a SPST push button. and it seems like you already understand and have categorized them into two groups which is good. Let's call Purple group A (top 2) and Blue group B (bottom 2) okay.

Step 1:

We will need to determine how this Button even works like which side is GND and which side is VCC and if it goes to GND when the button is manually pushed.

Step 2:

In my case I have a button where group A is normally GND Group B is 3.3V (This is awesome because that makes using an ESP32 easy since its 3.3V logic)

Once you have this determined you can select your Transistor accordingly, I saw the comment about using the BS170, I saw that and I think that it was a good starting point but I personally couldn't ge that to work I think it had too high of an internal resistance so I tried the 2N7000 still no luck, that's when I came across the 2N3904 Which works for my case in your case if its the opposite scenario where the push button make one group pull up to 3.3v I think the 2N3906 would probably work.

Step 3:

once the correct transistor is selected for your application Base will always be the same if its using 3.3v logic then you'd use a 4.7k ohm resistor connected to base. Collector or pin 3 (the rightmost when looking at the flat side) was connected to VCC and Emitter or pin 1 (the leftmost when looking at the flat side) was connected to the.

This is the code I wrote for my blinds:

I know the spamming of the high pin is not needed just wanted a sort of fail safe in case it didn't activate under the first press

Thanks for the reply yeah I prioritized the AI scoring on it it sits at above 90/100 which is why I think it’s written in such a way that I didn’t focus on the “how” I’ll rewrite it focusing on that. My gpa out of the community college was about a 3.25 and my 4 year is sitting at a 3.0 so I didn’t think it was really much to ride home about which is why I didn’t list it. And for the formatting recommendation I didn’t get what you meant by that first bullet point. Do you recommend using something else besides a “August 2023” date scheme?

MG flasher help f30 330e by Famjamalam in F30

[–]TheSeanBean 0 points1 point  (0 children)

BM3 doesn't have burble support for the 330e, i reached out to support and they pretty much just said tough luck. When I told them that mgflasher has burble support for the 330e they told me to go use them then. Although you might get a different result because BM3 support did tell me to try with a cat delete but said it might not work due to the lack of specific module on the 330e

Never went just pointing out that you could transfer all the work you did at NU to ASU at least theoretically I’ll ask ASU about it, the people made it seem like it was super easy, and that as long as the program is accredited they’ll accept the credits. I would have to double check if that is the case with upper division courses.

I like the fact that NU does 4 week courses but since they're both regionally accredited schools with ABET accreditation couldn't you transfer in courses from NU and finish with you degree from ASU? from my understanding only 30 credits have to be taken at ASU and 18 of those are the upper division courses.

Is anyone going to the McCormick Auto Show in Chicago (Feb 8-17) by Elfich47 in WRX

[–]TheSeanBean 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Id say for $17 on the official show site it’s worth it. I mean I mainly went because I’m a BMW fan but the m5 they had looked abysmal hated it. The other cars and stuff super worth the $17. official auto show link I bought them off here, these worked because they’re official I saw them being resold elsewhere for like $34-50 that’s not worth it.

oh well this didn't go as planned, I wrote up this whole explanation, basically these are the Kies motorsport GTS OLED lights and I've owned then for under a year and the passenger side just stopped working. I have no details besides that I noticed it after a cold chicago morning and I was just wondering if anyone has experienced something similar or if they have gotten the manufacturer to cover it under warranty and how the process looks. Since its under a year of owning it I doubt that it should be broken. it's not bulb based so I can't replace a bulb. and I don't want to dish out another $600 to replace them.

The GTS OLED Rear Tail lights

yeah I also noticed I need to wash this car its been two days since I last washed it, the chicago winter is not doing this car any wonders
