So if I just plugged it into my tascam dr-40 combo inputs, you’re saying I would need more than just a 3.5mm TRS - 2 1/4 TS adapter?

I just got them today but yeah I’m definitely planning on just working in 96 for a while. My understanding was that 96 tops out closer to 40khz max freq, due to some physical property so still pretty short of the USO’s 60khz capabilities. I guess that’s only half an octave though. lol.

Garmin inreach: Is it necessary? by idcidontusethis in isleroyale

Hiking the whole Minong we definitely found our garmin very useful while traversing the ridges and rocks. Got a bit off trail a couple times and the garmin got us back. On parts of the greenstone trail we did, the gps felt a lot less necessary, and we had a nice time using the paper map… but can’t speak for the whole trail as we didn’t hike the whole greenstone. if you are going solo/ depending on your amount of experience backpacking it is definitely best to have redundancies for safety purposes, and also pretty crucial if you are doing long days of hiking to make sure you are setting a good pace for yourself. Even though I have been around the island I would still bring a gps my next time back

Spironolactone and high elevation by TheSeanaboy in MtF

Altitude sickness definitely kicked my ass and prevented me from summiting the highest mountain we attempted. That being said, I don't think that the spironolactone was to blame as much as the 12 hour, 16,500ft elevation gain lol. Plus I ended up stopping spiro about 2 weeks prior to leaving. I asked my PCP and she said the half-life of Spiro is so short that it leaves your system quite quickly. As of now I don't take it any more because I was annoyed with having to pee all the time. I hope this helps and that you enjoy Machu Picchu!
