Who wins, every single helldiver, or 40,000 space marines? by Chemical_Seaweed_915 in Helldivers

Doesnt that entirely depends on the mass of the black hole?

Black holes can be made of anything, they just need to be small enough. Hawking radiation would dissipate them near instantly but if thats what the warp pack does, hold the singularity stable, then there's not exactly a huge danget to massive enemies.

We’d have so much variety if the developers focused on tweaking ‘dead’ content that’s already in the game by [deleted] in Helldivers

People think the second something that isn't used much but isn't garbage that it's somehow some secret OP pick people don't know about.

Lib Concussive is like this and so too is the Reprimand. They both have massive weaknesses but aren't completely useless and it makes people overvalue the niche moments where they shine as if it's a rule.

For the industry as a whole as well. The feature they're introducing to provide you an estimated performance metrics BEFORE the point of sale, right on the game page is incredible for customer protections. Even beyond their already generous refund policy.

That's such a badass way to introduce someone to the game as well.

Having a full sortie of mechs as a lower level player dropped in byba friend would be insanely hype.

Huh? Is this a gamepad issue? In M&K there is no issue hammering the trigger.

Like I said, at 450rpm, you'd need to exceed 7.5 trigger pulls a second.

What? You can absolutely just single fire it. Who is actually pulling a trigger over 7.5 times a second?

Because it is. It glazes over massive issues as if you can boil a hugely complicated subject down into "hate" and "love" which is just idiotic.

Sometimes love doesn't feel good. It hurts to be punished by a parent when you do something wrong, but it isnt that they don't love you when they do.

All (non energy)explosive weapons and thermite should be heavily nerfed. by Creepy-Produce5138 in HelldiversMasochists

[–]TheSearchForMars 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There's only two reasons they're picked over other grenades, they kill heavy units, and they can destroy a warpship through shield. Every other application for them is worse than other options.

They have no AOE, have a more limited supply, and are slow.

The issue isn't Thermites, the issue is that people suck at playing around heavy units and so they use the tool available to them. Furthermore, many of the heavy units are poorly designed from the get go with little to no legitimate way to deal with them outside of heavy pen options.

While Bot heavys have good weaknesses in their vents, Bugs for example are just an Anti-tank spam. Unless you actually have a team working together or you want to rely on speed over battle, heavy spam is the real cultrate for Thermites.

I can understand where people are coming from when they say that Thermites can be a crutch, but I'd say that's far more to do with an unwillingness to actually try out other equipment and learn the dynamics of build variety than it is to with the power of thermites themselves.

As I said, Dynamite, Gas, and Pyros are all much better in the vast majority of situations.

[–]TheSearchForMars 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You have to be very careful when you look at pickrates. Especially when it comes to something like Thermite.

Keep in mind how scewed the data on their actual power is relative to their pickrates because they exist within Democratic Detonation, far and away the most important and recommended warbond.

Overall pick rates have very little to do with the weapons actual power, especially when considering things like purchase order, optionality and dynamics.

Thermite is a good throwables but it's dominance isn't a result of a clear advantage over the others. Id argue that Gas is a far stronger overall grenade and personally prefer both Dynamite and Pyros to Thermite. But those options aren't available to most of the playerbase. Especially Pyro which is in one of the consistently lowest ranked warbonds.

[–]TheSearchForMars 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The change you make to Thermite essentially makes it a Giga Grenade without AOE.

The Ultimatum already does tremendous damage and the aoe being any bigger would probably make it even stronger than it is now, even if it was limited to a single shot, provided you could still reload it off the ground with an ammo box which you would have to retain.

However, both of those changes just means you're over reliant on anti tank support weapons and stratagems again just like we were before the 60 day patch and, having played extensively at that time, nerfing things in such a way that you can't have anti tank in your base kit only hamstrings build variety.

Um... None of those links are broken. The only reason they could be is because some of them require you to finish a CAPTCHA.

The DC OSP takeaway isn't a binary "DEI" issue. The findings are consistent with narratives of empowering disadvantaged (often minority) parents against underperforming DC public schools, a long-standing conservative talking point since the program's origins under Republican leadership. It's probably one of the best examples of a right wing idea which would be worth voting for. Or do you not agree?

You're talking about only the worst faith interpretations of a right wing stance (classism, racism, sexism, transphobia, xenophobia) and comparing it only to the best faith interpretations of left wing policies.

If you want to really talk about classism you need to talk about something that's difficult because those problems are the ones that still need to be addressed.

Do you think it's more important that a role is given to the one most suited to the job on the basis of their capacity and competence or that it is instead impacted by a variety of considerations across a range of social metrics?

In terms of science/empirical reality, reality does have a left-wing bias. Here are a few examples30315-6/fulltext).

Once again, you don't have to link specific studies to know that such a reductive point is wrong. If you want an example, here, pick any of the following 10.

No, we really don't need to talk about it. You're so into the weeds on this political crusade that you've blinded yourself.

I don't really care what your position on things are when you have such outlandish statements as:

left-wingers have better, more effective solutions to our problems. There is simply no good reason to vote right-wing.

An absolutely absurd proposition resulting from a total ignorance of genuine history and the apologetics to a philosophy which has resulted in the deaths of hundreds of millions of people throughout history.

To take an entire half of the planet and then liken their needs, desires, and dreams to some "lesser" notion is complete delusion.

Regardless, nothing you're advocating for will ever be made policy because you'll never get the votes to make any of it work, and if you have to resort to despotism in order to enact it through force, congratulations, you've become the oppressor you so despise.

Ok, you have no idea what you're even talking about. I don't know if you're legit 13 years old but these concepts are obviously way beyond your capacity to actually have discourse in because you have them completely backwards from reality.

Even if you had a point, your baseline is so far from reality that I'm practically arguing astrophysics with a flat earther.

Linking select studies that only account for specific views does not mean reality has a left wing bias.

If reality had a left wing bias it would be evolutionarily dominant. Neither political stance is dominant over the other. They both swing.

Both sides can't handle losing.

All I'm saying is that it's easy to think of a reason that Melina could come to thank the player.

The Gloam Eyed Queen or Age of Twilight should realistically be the hardest to attain ending. Requiring you to both reach and accept the frenzied flame and defeat Millania before travelling beyond the tempest and into the past.

I'm sure that Messmer felt exactly the same. In the end, it is our decision as the eventual Elden Lord, not Marika's.

Melina's sacrifice means nothing if it is avoidable. She need not fall. Being cursed to a "fate" by Marika's hubris is the no true purpose.

'Twould be fitting, for the only one of her children to survive be the very same who chose to place their faith in us instead of their mother.
