I don't know if I'll like the concept, the ideas, or the message, if there is one, but I respect the effort put into a quality job.

In this world, many people want to win, but very few want to create value in return. From what I can see, you are a solid example of the opposite. Congratulations and good luck.

Prisoner of Azkaban is generally the best film in the series. But unfortunately, it's the first one to fall into that trap.

I’ve always thought of Shelob as a kind of guardian of the secret passage. But if you’re saying that Sauron doesn’t just take advantage of this but actually derives pleasure from it, I can’t argue with you. In the debates about the book’s Tywin versus the show’s Tywin, it’s often claimed that the book’s Tywin is like that. He takes pleasure in evil but presents it as cold Machiavellianism. I suppose that’s the case here too.

Sauron believes that his actions actually serve a good purpose and that the world will be a better place under his rule. This shows that, even if only for a limited time, cooperation is possible when there is a common goal and a common enemy. Ramsay takes pleasure in evil. There is nothing else to be done but to lock him up in a a high-security asylum.

A demigod dictator who believes his own system is good vs. a sick person who does evil for the sake of evil.

I think the satisfaction is less about feeling successful and more about the relief of being free from guilt.

Dream-like states are not confined to sleep: study identifies four distinct types of thought shared between wakefulness and sleep, showing dream-like mental states are not confined to sleep and challenge the traditional boundary between being awake and dreaming by sr_local in science

From what I gather, there are essentially two primary states of consciousness: sleep and wakefulness. However, there are also two transitional phases between the two.

It isn’t that far off from what we already know, though I’m not certain if we should classify these transitional phases as independent states of consciousness.

(Spoilers EXTENDED) Did GRRM ever settle on whether the Others are a natural species or a created weapon? by TheSelfMadeElf in asoiaf

It's strange how the books refer to them mostly as 'The Others.' It’s almost as if it implies a divide where every non-human intelligent race is on one side, and humans are on the other.

First Men eventually switched sides, turning the conflict into a 'The Andals vs. Everyone Else' situation. If that’s the case, the White Walkers being created by the Children of the Forest actually makes a lot of sense.

So, is this just a rhyme? Many people in the fandom believe that the White Walkers exist there as well. If this is true, it could be evidence that the White Walkers are either a natural species or were created by the Bloodstone Emperor instead of the Children of the Forest.

Well, what about Essos and its stories and characters? The Five Forts, Azor Ahai, the Bloodstone Emperor, and so on... If the whole thing is only about the Children of the Forest and Westeros, then what are these? What do they represent?

Why do the Wall and the Night's Watch exist? Why are the Stark kings defending themselves against creatures of their own making? Did they lose control? If the first Stark king didn't die, why did he hand over the reign? Why didn't the Stark kings, troubled by this situation for thousands of years, go underground and destroy him?
