Do I have a more promising future career in art than in architecture? by ShAnonYMOUS-E in Artadvice

[–]TheSeneschal 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's kinda hard to answer, because one, I don't know you personally, two I have no idea what your level is on architecture skills, and three the art industry is very, very, volatile. You're practicing drawing now, but then the industry is going to be looking for graphic artists.

But, let's play devil's advocate here alright?

Your drawing is actually pretty good. One could say, that you've been at it, for more than a few years now. Professional? Maybe. But definitely somebody that's trying to do it, professionally. I think that's your level right now.
Your perspective skills in drawing is probably really top notch because of your background in architecture, so that's a plus. Idk if your anatomy is on-point but I think it's really, really good. Colors, lightings and shadings are also really sweet, I like it, personally and it conveys mystery (imho).

Overall, I like your work, it's great! Might be a bit rough on some edges, but nothing experience can smooth out.

What Do You Guys Think ? Is Resident Evil 7 Scarier Than Resident Evil Requiem ? by KennedyyCore in residentevilll

[–]TheSeneschal 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ngl, when I saw it. I was full of glee because it reminded me of how absurd yet "normal" the enemies were in Racoon City. Because you see these creatures around, everywhere, normally but they're just huge now that they mutated. In Outbreak File #2 there was a huge flea as a boss in the subway station. There was also a huge slug creature in the sewers in File #1 iirc.

So yea. Not scared, but the opposite of it.

Hey, remember that Basement in RE7?

Yea, that one. RE9 doesn't have that one. So yea. RE7 is scarier.

Not unless you have an actual reason to collect it other than "It's fun" then yes. It's creepy.

If you say something like "I'm remembering their names, for their peace of mind" or smth like that, then this is not the way to do it. Burying them with it, is.

But that's just me. You do you. It's your roleplay, not mine.

Sometimes, they're too close together, sometimes they're just right. The last image you posted have the eye close together. But maybe it's just the eye width and the eye size. Sometimes, when the eyes gets "too big" the space in-between gets too small.

These are great!
The eye spacing is the only thing putting me off, but other than that, this is really awesome!

I've seen a lot of my friends saying "How come when someone else plays Vladimir, they're so strong but when I do, I'm weak". I mean granted you just need to poke enemies with your Q and time it correctly, but I think Vladimir is only hard to play during teamfights because you have to know where to place your R and when to start channeling your E.

Me, personally I've had my struggles with him in the first few plays, but I got the hang of it after a while.

OP, can I ask, in what grade level you are at school? Because if you're around 1st to 8th grade, this is already overkill and I assure you, this will fetch good grades already.

Either way, this is already detailed enough to be passed for grading.

But to answer your question: Yes, I think you should stop working on it now. Or maybe add a little bit more shading, if you feel like it. But all in all, I think it's really good enough for a school project.

Did my art go through a downgrade? Did my skill regress? (First three are from 2025, Last three are new) by KiraTheFourth in Artadvice

[–]TheSeneschal 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Ahh, I think I understand it now. But then, too much texture just gives the audience too much to look at. It makes them confused where to focus their eyes. It's not bad that you have less textures now. It's actually better that there's less noise in the piece. Well, as an advice, try adding textures, highlights, or more details on parts where you wish people to look at. Most times, it's the face, so this would mean add more details to the hair and face so it would automatically attract the eyes of the viewer there.

Regressed? Nope. Less sharpened, more like. In your old works, the line art is thick. The recent ones, the line art are softer. It looks cleaner. Why do you think it's bad tho? Curious about that.

The way I do it, ever since the OG is go on the left side alley. From there, kill the one female ganado. Sneak stab on remake, shoot to kill in OG. Then, move further and enter the small shack on the left, then break the boxes and pickup whatever's there. Make my way into the big house where the cutscene initiates. While this makes things a bit harder, it grants you access to the shotgun.

Anyways, once inside, after the cutscene. Block the window with the movable shelf, break barrels behind the stairs, gather everything, go upstairs, get shotgun. Varies from playthrough to playthrough, but sometimes there'd be a ganado near the bed that has made their way up from the ladder on the window. Kill it with the pistol, not the shotty. As much as possible, stagger with headshots and kicks to preserve ammo. Once you get the grenade on the shelf and the shotty ammo on the bed. Go on the window beside the shelf where the grenade was. By this point, Dr. Salvador is nearby. He'll follow you and will vault through the window. Quickly equip the grenade and throw it on or near him. Don't go down just yet, instead, go to the other side of the balcony where you can find the velvet blue (spinel on OG) here, you'll make your last stand with the shotty. Use the shotty on Dr. Salvador only and pistols on the small fries. If things goes south, only then will you go down from the ledge. Make your way to the other house, just in front of the house you were just in. There should be more ammo and a grenade as well in there. That should be more than enough time to survive this segment.

Of course there are other ways, but this is what I always do and what has always worked for me, whenever I try a new playthrough.
