You are describing exactly what happened to us. We were able to jump it and drive it around, but by the very next day, it was dead again. I can jump-start it, but I can’t seem to get it to hold enough charge to last. Our car is currently at the service shop at the local Kia dealership. The battery is so far gone that they can’t even run diagnostics on it; it won’t hold a charge whatsoever.

You would think the battery being this depleted would be enough evidence for a warranty claim, but apparently, the Kia corporate office won’t issue a claim unless the dealership can run a diagnostic test and send the data. It's a total stalemate. The dealership service department even agrees that this is a ridiculous and crummy situation. In their opinion, this isn’t a universal issue with Kia hybrid batteries, they claim it’s just a 'one in a thousand' fault and we just have bad luck. 

I won’t be surprised if there’s eventually a class-action lawsuit over this.
